The most dissapointing movie for me this year was Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Not because I had incredibly high expectations, but because the previous three installment were such great blockbuster sci-fi flicks and Kingdom felt so much more middle of the road and generic. Following one of the most interesting protagonists in recent film history, Caeser, with the bland protagonist in Kingdom killed it for me.

I haven't seen it! I've watched the first few in the series and really enjoyed them, but something about the trailer to this one didn't interest me at all.

I've seen Civil War and Hit Man and actually really enjoyed both! As much as I love Ghostbusters these new movies don't interest me at all and I heard the Bob Marley movie was really disappointing so I avoided it.

Disappointing-Challengers, Love Lies Bleeding and Civil War My favorites- The First Omen and RED ROOMS(the movie of the year/even though it came out last year)

Can't relate on your disappointments because I loved all three, but The First Omen and Red Rooms were both incredible! I hope more people talk about Red Rooms as it becomes more widely available!

Hit Man, Love Lies Bleeding, Wicked Little Letters, Marsh King's Daughter were all movies I expected more from based on the reviews I had read. In particular Loves Lies Bleeding had a great set-up but didn't develop into as strong a story as it could have - we didn't learn enough about Ed Harris' character for example.

I've seen Hit Man and Love Lies. I thought Hit Man was fun! Didn't reinvent the wheel, but I enjoyed the dialogue. I adored Love Lies Bleeding. I didn't really care about having depth for Ed Harris character because he just seemed menacing and evil and that was enough for me. Loved the relationship of the two leads and really loved the fantastical realism in the third act. I actually just bought the Blu Ray! Haven't seen the other two!
