On 25th July, 2023, Officers were dispatched to a school in reference to a suspended student who was refusing to leave the premises. The girl refused to comply and at several points struck the officer in an attempt to get him off of her. Shortly after, the girl’s mother arrived at the school. Soon other officers arrived on the scene to transport the girl to jail. The girl was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.

@jm2793 i sympathize with you. My daughter is going on 14, and her school isn't much better, which sucks considering we bought a house in the school district because it was supposed to be really good. It doesn't matter where you go anymore. They have kids like this everywhere. She got accepted to a science based high school, so hopefully, it has more kids who are there to learn and have a normal high school experience.

My Lord we wouldn’t dare behave in such a manner because we knew what our parents expected of us , married with three boys 21/19/16 I don’t tolerate rude behaviour I certainly don’t accept teachers or anyone else to accept it , how absolutely disgraceful. Iv told my boys don’t expect you to become brain surgeons but one thing I do expect is you have manners . Never had a bad report all teachers have ever said is how helpful n well mannered they are parents are failing for sure . Law is too lenient

Another one that thinks she’s in charge. “Don’t touch me!” “Get off of me!” I bet she acts the same way at home! Respect for authority begins at home. If this mother has tried to be her “friend” instead of her parent, this is exactly the behavior and result you get.

@@beecnul8r I was a single mother for 10 years between marriages. I married again to a Naval Officer and we had two more children. Husband was often gone on workups and deployments. I told my kids, I get to pick my friends and it wouldn’t be them. In addition my kids knew that if I got a call from the school that I would show up immediately and dole out retribution on them first. I didn’t leave it up to teachers and administrators to have to control my children nor discipline them. I’ve always believed that fear is a great motivator. When my sister and I were in high school my father would tell the principal in front of us, that he gave the principal permission to spank us. OMG, if you don’t think that was a deterrent, I don’t know what was.
