Thanks for the memories! Back in the 1970's when I was living in Chicago, Illinois I had two service calls in Irian Jaya for my company, Fisher Scientific. The plane ride from Australia was from Darwin the first year to Tembagapura. The second time we flew from Cairns because a typhoon the first time (which I narrowly missed) pretty much messed up Darwin. From the airport at Indonesia, the ride up ten thousand feet in the mountains to the Freeport copper mine was either by helicopter or by truck. Both times I missed getting to ride on the helicopter up and back. But boy, what scenery. I never did get to ask what animal life existed in those mountains.

My wife just learned that Perseverance landed on Mars and wanted to watch it on KZfaq. I had to make her wait while I made sure Ryan landed on Earth.

You were not lying Captain Ryan. This valley is really beautiful, thank you for sharing it with the viewers. That take off scared me a bit, because it took a long time until your back wheels left the ground, but I got trust in you and your experience at this place. Wondering where you take us next. I've been watching his videos for a few months now. Typically his pre-flight routine (cut off, pull off, shut off) seems to be a lot of "going through the motions." This was definitely the most he has thought about it that I can remember. It peaked my interest a lot more, knowing it was a legit tricky take off.

RYAN, Hello, some of the landscape, especially, hills with no trees , but green, look just like places in JAMAICA WI, , Had no idea peanuts were a cash crop, I thought maybe Cacao also ?

When you were talking about the beauty of the clouds, reminding me of what Ansel Adams said about Yosemite National Park. He loved the drama of clouds more than a sunny day.
