years ago, I usually frequent this area doing my morning jogs or doing photography in the early mornings at queen Elizabeth park which is about a block away from this house. I must say that whenever I pass thru this area especially during the fall/winter season when it's still dark in the morning, it really gives me the creeps for no apparent reason except that there is just something odd or bizarre in the area like someone or something is watching or following you. anyways, I've experienced those things without knowing the history of the place. just came here to see what others' reactions are.

Apparently the lights in the upper room are always kept on. I lived in van for about 3 1/2 years and every time i'd pass it at night you would see.

They just demolished the house as of December 2022 to make way for a new development… but I am sure the land is still haunted so I expect more ghost stories coming soon 👻

I remember stories about this place growing up in east van.

i googled this houses bc assessment to see what it was worth and it said the house was a 4 bed 7 bath and it was worth 11m dollar but the house itself without the land was only worth 100k i thought thought that was just weird because the house is so big and a avrage house without the land is worth about 250k

I used to live in Vancouver,My Parents still do Now we live in Hollywood Hills but go visit Vancouver 3 Months a year and this Haunted house was the Real Deal..The People who moved in 1998 Had All thr Furniture Flipped over in thr front lawn whn THEY came home late night..Scary.

Excellent video.This residence has gone through many hands including some religious order at some point. I could be wrong but that is what we heard. As well as the ghost stories. Cheers!

I live 1min drive from my house I see every time drive by I noticed it and my friend told me a story about the haunted place and I once saw lady shadow silhouette near the window on the left

I got actual video footage on my phone of me being inside that house. It's Scheduled for demo. Went in and gutted that house, no security, I just walked in the back, not well fenced off either. My video shows me entering from the rear, I go straight into the kitchen, then I proceed down into the basement dark and eerie. Then I go back into the kitchen look around the main floor, then I proceed to go upstairs. I have to edit this video and I'll post my findings on yotube. I went in there November 15th, 2022. I have to check on that. I heard or seen nothing no signs of the paranormal activity, no sounds, no movements, no shadow figures nothing at all. It was all quiet but at the same time sort of creepy and eerie being in there alone.

I’ve heard so many stories about this place but too chicken sh*t to even go near that house, it’s about 20 mins from me. Glad the ghosts found a loophole in affordable Vancouver living.

Friend of mine whom I consider to be extremely “normal/level-headed” would tell me a story of having attended a dinner event here sometime around the early-mid 1990’s and while sitting around the dinner table something firmly tugged at her pony tail (no person was within an arms reach at that specific moment). She promptly got up and left the premises in tears. According to her, it was in fact inhabited by monks at that time. I personally do not believe in, nor have I ever experience first hand anything of a paranormal nature, but I’d do consider her to be a reliable source. I myself work in commercial construction, it will be interesting to see/hear what types of stories surface throughout the development stage of this property 🤔🤔🤔

Interesting story.I beleive in this kind of stuff because I've had similiar experiences in Scotland.However Phsychologists have told me it's all in my mind.
