Ha one of my best blind buys must be Ishq al Shuyukh. It's so smooth and smells like high quality perfume with soft suede and beautiful tonka. I don't get any rubbery note anymore thankfully! I also like Amethyst and yes it had slight rubbery feel for some time but now it is sweet and slightly fresh rose bomb for me!😊 Also people are complaining about Ajwad but for me it is quite beautiful and strong. I got compliment right after I wore it from the shop assistant in a small boutique, she said the perfume smelled lovely!😊

I’m wearing Raghba right now. On me, I get a woody, spicy vanilla. I’ve received compliments on it. So interesting how polarizing it is.

Thank God we are all different! I love Raghba, it is so comforting for me. And, it's similar to Amouage Sunshine, just sweeter and with cherry instead of apricot.

Hi Paulina, we all smell notes differently and different perfumes appeal to us, basically perfumes are like a melody. Someone will love one song, yet the other hates it. Also as much as you wish to, if someone says that they do not understand what you like about a song when you try to describe why you love it, you cannot change their mind. Each hears their own melody and follows their own path and so it is with perfumes. I try and follow perfume reviewers who seem to like at least some of my favourite of perfumes or describe them in a way I can relate to them. I realize we all have different taste and isn't that wonderful? I would hate to smell like everyone else or hear the same music everywhere. Vive la difference ! I love and own the original (not re formulated) ALIEN and love Sacrifice as it is a very user friendly ( not too overpowering which means I can wear this where I would never wear ALIEN) perfume. I always get compliments when I wear this whereas ALIEN is polarising. It seems to last on my olive ( slightly oily skin) very well , a good 7 to 9 hours. I must admit I am always dubious about so called 'Dupes' and do not like the term but would prefer if it was called 'inspired by' or ALIEN was the inspiration or homage to ALIEN. No one is can make a duplication and make it so affordable anyway. Opulent Red, although much hated, is one of my signature scent and always gets me loads of compliments as does AMETHYST. I have a dear friend in Germany who blind bought these 2 perfumes and one perfume oil I raved about and she always wore very expensive French perfume and I was worried she may not like these but she loves them as much as I do, which is so fun as I imagine her wearing this on the same day I do yet continents apart and half a day apart. I read that our memories are also what shapes our love for certain fragrance notes and perfumes. I was born and Germany and we traveled a lot all over the world in the first 24 or so years of my life, I think this has broadened by taste in some ways and I have memories of all the different places I visited and have scent memories from those. I came to Australia and lived in South Australia and now on the beautiful island of Tasmania. I have a huge perfume cupboard that still holds 2 perfumes from the 70s ( still OK as they were kept dark and in constant cool dry temperatures) and some from the 80's 90's and so on. I only discovered Middle Eastern perfumes last year when my beloved Gucci Rush second last bottle broke and someone suggested a perfume oil and it is not a dupe but it gives me the same great feelings that wearing Rush gave me so it was a win win. I then began researching these perfumes as I had Covid, lost my taste but still could smell but felt I needed a change from the perfumes I was wearing. Shaghaf Oud was one of the first EDP I bought, then a Rasasi perfume, AMETHYST, and about 40 perfumes later , I had 8 or so not so perfumes which I feel still need maceration and are not 100% to my taste and and there are 2 I cannot stand, but the rest are great as they last and best of all I can smell the perfume even after wearing it for many hours. Whilst some of my favourite perfumes will always remain my favourites at this stage I am in love with Middle Eastern perfumes, love oud, spices and the incredible blends of these perfumes. Some of them to me are like a magical fairy tale from One Thousand and One Nights, seductive, alluring, sensuous, mysterious and bring with them feelings of warmth and are sometimes like an armour you can put on and feel confident. Pure Magic. I am a redhead and used to standing out😂as some of the perfumes are certainly not for the timid and some you have to be confident to pull off wearing these. Also some are ageless but some I feel need maturity. But there wonderful thing is that there is one out there for everyone. Or so I feel. It amazed me how taste are sooo different. For instance I like so much kashka , it smells like a typical middle eastern women , because I used to live in Doha Qatar . I also like Lattafa amethyst and ishq al shuyukh so much. Just dont spray them on your neck.people always compliments me

I love sacrifice as well however I feel it became stronger with time. At the beginning it lasted about 4h. Last time i used it in the morning, i could still smell it when i was washing my hair in the evening. Still, new refirmulation of alien lasted on my skin less than two hours so I prefer to buy sacrifice as it lasted longer even before maceration.

Awesome video! When I saw your thumbnail and saw one of my favorites Lattafa Ishq Al Gold as one of the fragrances I said no way. This shows that fragrances are very much so personal. Had to watch your review. I also didn’t like Ansaam Gold as much. I always wanted to try Rahgba but never got around to it. The last scent that means porridge the packaging is crazy 😂. The box did look very much old school.

I used to have Badee Al Oud Amethyst before and I didn't like it first but later I found it a gem during the cold weather. I like Honor and Glory and my cousin took and he liked it a lot and got compliments from it. I have the plan the of buying Ishq Al Shuyukh and Ansaam and I will definitely do it even if it didnt receive good reviews from you. Keep up the good videos. Indeed we have different preferences for fragrance and we shall learn to appreciate and respect our different ideas on perfumes. Kudos!

Ansaam Gold (I was soooo disappointed and that was the one I paid the most for over $70) and the absolute WORST is Shagaf Oud (the gold one). I don’t know what it is but that scent literally makes physically nauseous. I’m letting both of them sit for a bit to see if things improve, but those two may have to go. 😢😢

Can you please make a spring and summer favorite arabic fragrances?

I am trying out BAO honor and glory and so far I like it. From Lattafa I liked Khamrah a lot but I could not stomach both Yara and Yara tous. H&G reminds me a bit of Amouage sunshine which I also have a decant of. I definitely do get the tumaric note after a while. But I particularly like the dry down. I could relate to what you said about not wanting to smell like tumaric since you use it so often or have been exposed to it often. Where I am from, we have been exposed to oud from childhood and also there are certain local spices we are more familiar with. I still cannot love Guess seductive noir because I find a note there which is similar to ajwain/coriender seeds I was exposed to since childhood. But it is a great scent nonetheless as per many. It is truly amazing how fragrances can be perceived differently due to memories, experiences, climate etc.

I bought Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst AND Infini Rose at the same time--not realizing they were dupes for each other...and I don't like either. They aren't horrible, but I'm not drawn to them, either. I'm letting them sit and I'll try again in early April. I LOVE Amber Oud Tobacco Edition!!! No gasoline smell from my bottle, and to me is a 100% dupe of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. My daughter gave me a decant of Opulent Red. She loves it. I'll have to pull it out and try it.

I grew with all of the ones u mentioned here except honor and glory. I had the same reaction initially but then I let it sit for a month or two and then sprayed it. Now it’s heavenly especially the dry down has crème brûlée tho the initial cud be a sharp blast of pineapple

From all perfumes you mentioned I only have Sacrifice but in oil form. So maybe it will perform better, clone of Alien is good from Yodeyma. So, I'm happy that I has a hint to avoid all others, because, I really dabated about Raghba and others😁uff

Ansaam gold, Bades Al oud honor & glory (smells like bad breath and cheap vanilla ) . Al shook (horrible rubber tires )all garbage. I agree with every one of your reviews except for Raghba lol. (I get a ton of compliments off of that.). You have to be really careful with Middle Eastern fragrances, and the thing that makes me most disappointed is there are people that are influencers that are pushing the stuff online and it's absolutely awful. thanks for your honest review because I agree

I really enjoy d dry down, it smells so smooth, rich, decadent n even creamy i must say. I kept on sniffing my hand hours after i sprayed it cos it was just soooo good! I never got dt rubbery smell some people always talk about, thankfully. I'm so happy with my purchase 😊

Just got Sacrifice and I love it. It definitely is a dupe for Alien, haven’t worn it for long but when I got it I already knew that it doesn’t last. Opulent Musk and oud are beautifully made. They are beasts and I always get compliments with them. Ragbha is so comforting and I always get compliments with it too. It reminds me of a pastry bakery😊 It’s crazy how some perfumes we both like, but others we disagree on 😂

Terrible perfume-I don't even know what I was smelling. It smell like some cheap air fresheners from the Dollar stores here in the US. .Way overhyped. I was so disappointed that now i am only subscribed to like 3 perfume influencers including you. So many perfume influencers hyping up fragrances, i guess to get likes. I don't really know how that works. But I'm sticking to the reviewers that have worked for me and that includes you darling. Take care!

We literally have the same nose; I discarded 90% of the fragrances you mentioned here. Do the literal same experience you had with them. Especially Raghba and Amethyst Badee Al Oud. I do love Honor & Glory and it’s NOT a dupe of anything. It’s a standalone fragrance. ❤❤❤

RAGBA...ALMOST MADE ME HATE ARAB FRAGRANCES TOO!!! I hate hate hate it!!! I just manage Al'Shuyukh too....I have to use it with something else on my legs too. Terrible too. I do like Amethyst a little bit, I don't reach for it though.

Honor and glory was amazing when I first got it….now it’s sat for a few months the turmeric has dominated the whole thing and I can’t wear it.

I used to like Amber oud rouge as well even though it has a very synthetic bandaid gasoline type smell. Now that there are others that smell so much better. And as I have expanded in my smell. The worst was Ameer Al oud . I’ve had for over a year. 🤢 🤮I wanted by the fireplace but total fail. I received Emir Frenetic delicieuse as gift. And at first spray my daughter said baby powder/ diaper rash ointment . 😂 But I do smell the notes come through. I’ll just let it sit for a while. I’m happy with it . Wayyyyy better than a lot of the gasoline ones . 😂

Honour and Glory makes me feel ill. I have put it up the back of the cupboard. It's sickly to me unfortunately. Hopefully it will work for someone else and I can give it away.

The world of Arabic fragrances REALLY needs to be very clearly divided into two categories when it comes to all online reviews: ones from dupe houses and those from houses who create original fragrances. The reason I have no interest in watching these sorts of videos is because I have no idea which is which-- however I could see myself getting really excited about learning more and sampling more if I found a content creator who was very clear about all this.

Infini rose is a better dupe for atomic rose. I despised amethyst it's very different and I felt it more masculine. Infini rose is top notch!
