Honestly, Timmy Flyboy's "Higher Than My Hopes" looks so real that I can genuinely hear in my head what the music might sound like, and to me, it sounds like amateur progressive rock.

Truthfully I don't know all the different subsections of rock so that's kind of the only thing I could call what I heard from my limited knowledge, for all I know I could have been hearing what you're thinking of :p

Just keep in mind that "progressive rock" refers to the really complex, psuedo-psychodelic, and musically experimental stuff like King Crimson, ELP, Jethro Tull, Yes, Pink Floyd, Camel, Caravan, and Gentle Giant. Meanwhile Grunge has a simpler and more emotional, dirtier, and more indie sounding music like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden.

Me too honestly. He tweeted a couple weeks ago that he just needed a bit more time. Of course, it's been radio silence up to that point so it was a big deal to realize he was still alive. I know things can't fully go back to the way they were but I hope people come around enough to realize that a man can sink pretty damn low and still pick himself back up again.
