Good morning Donnie! What a story! I don’t believe in witches, but this story & her cackling made my blood run cold! I’m not surprised that there could be evil, demon possessed people even back then. Evil has been here since Adam & Eve and it’s still here today. Our world is in a very bad state right now. I pray about it every day. Blessings always my friend! Keep telling us the stories of the Appalachian mountains! I look forward to seeing you next time! ❤️✝️

Right about the time you were talking about the dogs running up on her land and her coming to the door, my beagle started baying at something outside. Here I was, super into the story, already getting goosebumps and feeling the creepy vibes when he let out that baying sound out of nowhere. I'm telling you, my soul left my body for a minute. 😂😂 Great job telling the story! You had me hanging on every word - that is, once I managed to get my soul to return to my body. 😂😂

Hello Donnie, I love these ones that you do about the mountain witches and folklore. I do believe that there are such people still in existence today. We must always be careful who we may encounter on our travels. The locals didn’t treat the old gal very well after she died by putting witch on her tombstone and burning her house down. I wonder what made her like this. I guess we will never know the back story on her childhood and life. She may have been raised by witches herself. I look forward to many more stories about the woodland ghosts and witches. 🌹

I love this story. I think those witch fables were about old granny wisewomen who lived up in the hills. They were able to remedy things and help people, but some people didn't like it, so they labeled them as evil. I think they may have liked being made out to be scary since it kept people away. I'd feel that way too. Anyway, great story for Halloween! Especially the spooky music and the sound effects!

Donnie, I sat on this story and saved it for tonight, on Halloween to listen and celebrate the season! What a spooky story this was! My grandmother used to tell me about the witches in the WV mountains…some good and some bad. The good witches would heal and the bad ones, well we know what the bad ones did! She talked about her neighbor, a blind man who would blow on a wound or burn and take the fire and pain away! He had the gift of healing she said and people came from all over! It was a fascinating story! Thank you sir for gifting us with these amazing and sometimes spooky stores of long ago…they are such treasures like you are are!! Happy Halloween 🎃

Shape-shifting has always been a part of Native American history. I believe there is something from the beyond that protects certain parts of our vast landscape. Otherwise man would have already destroyed its vast beauty. Until next time my friend God Bless

Donnie I loved this man! Dunno why but every one of these witch stories they always want people to stay off their land. I miss my hunting dog, he passed away a week ago today. PS I’m only 50 watch time hours away from being monotized now!

Well, you sure do know how to tell a story, Mr. Donnie - This one being no exception. It was both delightfully interesting, and curious; just in time for Halloween. I trully do believe in many of these haunts and curses, especially when they pan out. At 4:30AM, these stories are always a lot more believable than during daylight hours. Why is that, I wonder? Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless you and yours.
