I am absolutely addicted to this trailer. It's mesmerizing how wrong everything looks. From the movie maker title cards, the 90s tv series special effects, the vomit inducing color grading, the stock sound effects to the overacting. It's the perfect gem.

Fun Fact! Rob Zombie built a recreation of the 'Munsters 1313 Mockingbird Lane' mansion because he loved the show so much as a kid. Then he made a trailer to disprove any possibility he cared about 'The Munster's'

This is a great example of what celebrity “directors” are actually capable of when the don’t have a budget to pay people to make a movie for them. Every other movie Zombie made probably had a ghost-director or an over-worked cinematographer doing director duties and not getting credit for it

Careful though....you know how time travel movies go....you doing that one small event to your younger self could set off a chain reaction that leads to an alternate present day where they have the technology to beam videos (such as this trailer) directly into your brain.

The scariest thing about this is the knowledge that actual adult human beings thought this was a good idea all the way through the production. Like people went to work every day spending their limited time on earth working on this, some probably went home to their families and children who asked how their day went and stuff. It was never stopped by anyone or confronted. Meetings would have been held, days spent, time and effort of peoples lives were lost in this.

Well, look at it this way.. it was Rob Zombie's way of committing career suicide. Solid 10 for that and about a 3 for the movie. It's crap and will be branded as such. More than anything else, he only defamed The Munsters, but the original vintage TV episodes will still live on, long after Rob is dead and gone, along with his humongous legacy of trash.

Something about this and everyone hating it makes me kinda like it. There's something kinda refreshing about seeing something so innocent, flawed, and stripped down production wise. It gives me an Ed Wood vibe and it feels very wholesome and just shows how cynical everyone is because they had an expectation and that's the only thing that matters to them. Not to mention every single Rob Zombie movie is objectively not good so not exactly sure how high the bar possibly could have been. Edit: typed a word twice

Wont argue with your opinion, but its worth noting that Rob Zombie is a huge fan of the source material. That era of filmmaking has been his inspiration from before he even started making films. This is 100% a passion project, the reason its so divisive is because he committed to his vision. Its definitely fine to dislike it, but its not fair to downplay Rob Zombie's intentions and passion

I'm choosing to believe this is an attempt at trolling the public into believing this will be a humorous movie by releasing scenes that will NOT be in the actual movie. I'm also choosing to believe a second trailer will reveal it to be a straight-up Rob Zombie gore-fest. I'm choosing to believe this because I find it so mind-numbingly impossible to grasp how a trailer this ABSOLUTE TRASH could have EVER been okayed and released by people that call themselves professional filmmakers! Seriously! My low self-esteem actually had me thinking mid trailer - "Oh no! Did I make this and not remember doing it?" This is honestly the first time IN MY LIFE that someone else's creation made me feel embarrassed of myself!!! And I've sat through Cats AND Battlefield Earth! How does that happen?!?!

You've clearly never seen The Munsters. This is exactly what the show was like to a fault. I'm actually intrigued because this is so faithful, possibly a bit too much. I don't think it will be a "good" movie, but it has the potential to be enchantingly bad, which is what the show was.

I'm going to go with what a few other commenters have said, I think this trailer is suppose to be somewhat misleading. Basically the movie starts as some ridiculously poor homage to the original series and then takes some weird out of left field turn that completely changes the tone and direction of the movie. I'm only guessing this since it's Rob Zombie directing. Then again, it could just really be this bad. Who knows?

The problem is that this is the only thing so far that people are seeing, and that's gonna be a problem since if this is all we're getting until the film releases, it may keep a lot of audiences away for it looking bland and something that should only be made for tv (not even streaming because apparently streaming shows appear to have a higher quality budget then this film).

I might be in the minority, but I find the style of the trailer to be a close match to the direction of the show. My issues lie within the acting. Finding someone to equal Fred Gwynne as Herman would be challenging for sure, but Jeff Phillips is so far off the mark. Sherri Moon fails to capture the unique blend of camp, sultry, and assuredness Yvonne De Carlo imbued in Lily. A lone silver lining seems to be Daniel Roebuck’s faithful portrayal of The Count/Grandpa.

Like ‘The Addams Family’ the whole concept works best when you just drop them onto the unsuspecting Public without having to explain. 😞

That black and white recreation of the show's opening credits made this movie look like it had some quality. This trailer makes the movie look like a commercial for a kid's haunted house directed by Svengoolie.
