Welp. This is the third Malazan reference I’ve seen this weekend. I think god is trying to tell me to get over my apprehension about Gardens of the Moon and just read the damn thing. But yeah, there’s a similar thing in Wheel of Time too. A person’s power changes who they are in the world of dreams. One of the main characters in the Wheel of Time, Perrin, can manifest himself as a wolf in Tel'aran'rhiod (the world of dreams).

If Solas' plan comes to fruition game-wise it should (just my opinion) happen in a modified way - a third option. Something like in Origins during Redclife Quest when you were presented with two options: Kill Connor or let his mother die for his sake, but there was a third option if you were persistent enough in your morality. Though this time it couldn't be a choice but a singular goal. The protagonist of DA4 must have a chance to win in some way. So maybe there would be a way to save the elves without killing everyone? A middle ground where there is destruction, change, but one that the world can eventually recover from. I'd love to see a world where magic and spirits are free and everywhere around.

That… would explain a lot, actually. Especially the two dragons we saw on that concept art earlier this year, which look very similar to the comic art we’ve seen of Garahel killing Andoral, the fourth Archdemon. I honestly think this is plausible.

i think they are one and the same just a different personality. The calm elf we see is solas and 'The Dread Wolf' could be the 'Hyde' to Solas' Jeckyl

I can't believe I only just noticed the green mist when he petrifies Flemeth! It's hard to see even when it's slowed down, but there's a face in the mist, the same type that you see when Cole goes into stealth or when you're in the Fade. It seems to look or move down towards Flemeth's hand, before disappearing when the blue-white mist that he absorbed from her body and now wields... If he is split, is this a hint of one part of him? There's almost some colour-coding at play with the mist or light we see: • *Green:* Seems to relate to spirits and the Fade. • *Blue/white:* Surrounds eluvians, Mythal and when Solas takes on the Dread Wolf mantle. • *Red:* Appears around corruption & the Blight. Personally, I would love to give him a good talking-to 😫 I mean, he took the decision to create the Veil, so now he bears the responsibility of dealing with the consequences of his decision. By consequences, I mean that he created a world where different races flourish and thrive, so he should accept that world and those who exist within it. The elves have had a raw deal for a long time, but it's nothing compared to what they did to themselves. It's not the elves enslaving their own kind, they don't permanently brand their slaves in a way that ensures that it's impossible not to see that they have an owner. These slavers aren't worshipped as gods and it won't last for hundreds or thousands of years. Not counting the enslaved dwarves & using Titans as a living resource. The elves are finally becoming stronger and finding their place in Thedas - they're becoming more socially empowered, as slavery is becoming less socially acceptable. It's nowhere near eradicated, but it's very slowly getting there. There's no way the Evanuris won't try to enslave others again, they're used to being worshipped and are probably really, really angry to boot... Even Solas sees different tiers of people, with different rights to wield power (or even exist) depending on their birth. The Qun may be controversial, but at least they don't care about how you were born, just what you can do... TLDR: One person wields great power, then uses that power to create the world he wants for himself and his chosen few. He grants his favoured with immense power and immortality, at the cost of the lives of everyone else. He sees others as lesser beings, less worthy of existence. He does this after tearing the world in half in order to unseat tyrants who wielded great power and immortality at the cost of others. He's no different than his brethren.

@@heyitsevie they are marketing it as your dragon age your story it feels like this is the end game for dragon age though it would be cool if you get multiple endings depending on your choices they said choices matters too and have consequences so i'm looking forward to it

I do. I hate Solas and want to grind that shiny head to dust but I think it’d be a great story moment, where you actually fail and have to avenge the old world by killing him.

Yes, Solas redeemed/ succeed/killed! But I don't know if we will have 3 choices. I hope so.

I think he used to be bound to Mythal, and that he escaped by removing his vallaslin, but at the cost of something.

@@sethzunker2100 it could be the scar on his forehead, especially since it’s been explicitly mentioned and his new model(s) for DA4 have the scar, too, but knowing Cole, the scar could be completely metaphorical.
