Ashes of Creation is an open world MMORPG set in a fantasy environment where you can choose different classes and races to adventure through with your friends. Intrepid Studios is the developer behind the game. They’re technically an indie studio, but their creative director Steven Sharif has a clear vision for his video game: Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game. He wants to put the massive back in MMO. Exploring dungeons, griding for gear, crafting armor/weapons, learning new spells, and competing in large scale PvP battles. High end PvE such as raids will mainly occur in the open world. Bosses will spawn and roam through the land. Are YOU ready to enter the world of Verra?

This, keep doing this. This is S+ tier content. I was reading a whitepaper on neuroplasticity in relation to video games a couple days ago and wished there were channels that would explain these interesting topics to people like myself who are very much not doctors. As an engineer, i'm curious, but i'm also not about to open up a new browser tab for every 12 syllable medical term.

You should take a look at HealthyGamerGG's content, he's a psychiatrist who uses gaming to explain life, just like Burns does in this video. Maybe one day there could be a collab @TheCopiumClinic, since you're both Doctors and love gaming? Very interesting video!

Great video, as always. The psychology and neuroscience behind games is really interesting and something that we as gamers should really know at least a little about. I remember really horrifying articles and studies about the design of micro transaction and freemium games and the ways they create and exploit addicts. Good quality content on these topics can help people recognise predatory designs and avoid falling prey to them.

Hey, I like the channel name. Is it a new one or did you revert back to what it was originally? I vaguely recall you had The Copium Clinic in some of your earlier videos. It gives you more flexibility in the event that you cover other games and/or topics outside of AoC. Ashes of Relation would've kept you a little restricted in scope.

Ofc most of us are here for the AoC focused content that you dish up with an analytical lens and a sense of humor. Also, I forgot to comment on the video specifically. Dr Burns. Flexing being a Dr on every level here. great conversation , and cant wait for the videos on adrenaline and cortisol. I know most times i killed a boss in a souls-like game my heart is beating out my chest. no doubt i needed that adrenaline for greater focus and reaction time to beat those bosses, and it delivers a dopamine response that other genres cant give!
