I did not. This is a different video. I saw your comment, rebalanced the audio and re uploaded 👍 you were right. Infact the 2-4 minute track was actually in the wrong audio graph in the timeline which was why it was so much louder

I had a test drive in the very same model last week and can confirm it is absolutely fantastic. Contemplating getting the 1.6 turbo petrol

@@j.shussain7528I took both cars for a test drive and preferred the Hybrid with FWD and 6 speed DCT. The turbo versions 8 speed torque converter auto just felt sluggish. Put a deposit down on the Hybrid and should have the car in 3 to 6 months.

Nearly sold on this.Your dealership in High Wycombe will be by nearest but I cannot fix in a test drive at present. Would need a test in a manual.Are these easily available.? Coming from a Golf 1.5 turbo. How does the 1.6 turbo Kona compare acceleration wise do you know ? Finally delivery time for the 1.6 Turbo manual in top spec ? Thanks. Great video.

Give them a ring on 01494 685770 to find out about the test drive. In terms of acceleration it will feel slower as it’s so much quieter and sitting higher up but you are getting similar performance. In terms of delivery it really is down to spec and colour. Ask that question after the drive is the best time. David

Had one of these now for 3 months and I really like it but 🤣 in the review you comment about the really nice trim above the hazard light switch and the fact it doesn’t show finger prints. Why the foxtrot did they not use the same material for the door rest? You only have to look at them and there’s a fingerprint on them FFS! Also another couple of observations / why did or didn’t theyWhy did they fit the charge point at the front! Why is the horn like a toy car one, why didn’t they fit make 1 button turn off all the pings and pongs and why not make the front end a bit better looking! Apart from that, great car 👍👍

How's the drive on a motorway ? Really want to get this hybrid version but concerned about the engine capability ( 141hp) whilst accelerating/ overtaking

@@EdenMotorGroup not a lot to be fair, about a 100mile round trip once a month. Did the engine sound overworked or did you find overtaking a struggle?

Neither. If it’s a 100 mile trip once a month get the EV. It will solve any power issues you might have. It will mean no road tax. Basically a zero bill. It may be more expensive but the fuel cost will offset that and by the time you’re ready to wave goodbye everyone will be wanting EV’s ready for the 2030 deadline

The 2030 deadline will not happen. It will be 2040 at least. It is getting extended. EV is twice the price and half the range. Rubbish car.

It’s not twice the price. Range has nothing to do with it. You start everyday with a full tank so to speak. How many 300 mile trips are done everyday. This is coming from someone who owns an EV with a 124 mile range and has never not found a space or charger and never run out of charge. As for the deadline it is still holding and no word on an extension. Manufacturers are not preparing for an extension they are preparing for the switch hence why so many EV’s are coming out so fast

I'm a Kia driver and considering my first Hyundai, a Kona EV over a Niro EV. My worry is the poor press about Hyundai dealers and poor standard of service. I'm on my second Kia and 10 years of great reliability and service. Will I get that with Hyundai? I wonder 🤔

Having already tried the ev i can tell you that the new Kona ev is a huge leap forward, now i known it shares much with kia niro but it seem a completely different car to niro. I really like this new kona and i hope the keep all one colour as looks better with body cladding in the same colour the car.

Can the EV actually charge in a reasonale speed (10 to 80 in under 20 minutes or so)? The main problem with the current ones is the abysmally slow charging.

unfortunetly in the specs it says 41 minutes from 10 to 80% is the best it can do

@@cristi8276 ICK. I was really hoping for this one to be a nice fast charging cheap EV. Since you can only go 10-80 and highway speed you are probably losing 20% off of WLTP or 10% off of EPA range you realistically get about a 40-50% drop and then have to wait around for 40 minutes to drive again? Hard pass. Unless you are just using this as a secondary commuter car there is no reason to buy this.

Well that car was from 2016-2017 in testing. We have come a long way in 7 years. But for the time it did have a great safety rating 👍 better a car crumple and save the occupants rather than stay ridged and harm those inside

you do realise cars are designed to crumple? it got 5 stars and 87% adult occupancy. Euro Ncap didn't see anything wrong with the structure of the car.

The car would be great, but for one thing, the interior is awful, cheap, nasty plastic. Why? Hyundai has thought of everything, except they have failed miserably to make this car feel like a luxury SUV. Very disappointing.

If you’re in the UK that claim is rubbish. Reading through the Gov file shows very few recalls for Hyundai compared to those paragons of quality such as Toyota, BMW, Mercedes and Honda.

@@EdenMotorGroup I bought 8 yr old i20 and it already had rust around the driver's door handle. Then slowly these dots of rust kept turning up on the roof n everywhere. This is a guy who pressure washes in his driveway twice every week.
