You still claim the steering wheel on the right is the proper side? Than now in Tucson You have to change gears with the „wrong hand”. Oh, wait! It’s because the gear selector stayed on the original side. 😂

@stephenwakeman3074 2 күн бұрын
If you get a manual transmission car, the gear stick is obviously to the left and in the centre. This gear selector stalk is on the right, granted, but as it's an automatic it isn't for changing gears, just drive, reverse or park.

Great review. I'm in Australia and am looking to order the premium hybrid version (in silver colour). My understanding is the suspension has been modified for Australian conditions, which is needed...believe me! This car ticks every box, and your review just confirmed my decision to order one. Thank you👍

10:21 Actually the new Tucson has quite an improved suspension and feels much smoother over bumps and bad roads. Even with the 19-inch wheels it feels better than mine, which is pre-facelift with 17-inch wheels. And the car I have tested was not top of the range, which has the adaptive suspension (ECS) that feels even smoother while in Eco mode. About the soundproofing, something you missed to mention is that there are lots of improvement there. Front windows are double-glazed, A, B and C pillars, as well as the wheel arches has additional sound proofing materials, and it is indeed much better than before.

How about the electric range for the PHEV version? Is it the same as the last model? I’ve got the 2023 PHEV version, and I really like it. But, compared to other brands newest models it falls behind a bit in range and charging.
@grasho
@grasho 11 күн бұрын
It should be about the same. The battery is the same and there are few electric ps more (8-9). What I have found driving the test HEV car is that the hybrid system works different. Unfortunately, not only in a good way... I hope that this new setup will not hurt the EV range... I guess we need to wait for next-gen PHEV's to see bigger batteries and DC charging...
@mrsniffleupagus
@mrsniffleupagus 10 күн бұрын
Same. About 35 miles and if you run the battery flat you'll only have 180hp petrol engine to keep the car going. That said I think the 2025 model is a fantastic car for the price and deals offered if you go full spec.
@fredrikschroder
@fredrikschroder 10 күн бұрын
@@mrsniffleupagusWell.. no about that you only have petrol power when the battery is drained. The car goes into hybrid mode when about 15% charge, and will recharge a bit when braking and downhill and also just cruising. That way you always have both petrol and electric power when overtaking and accelerating. Common misconception about PHEVs

No its not. I test-drove the diesel version of this car yesterday. The power, interior design, and exterior appearance are impressive. It felt great driving on flat roads. However, the road noise was quite loud when driving over coarse chip at speed. It's not a quiet highway cruiser; instead, it's loud and boomy. The suspension feels cheap and doesn't effectively absorb bumps or road imperfections. Additionally, there was a small rattle in the dashboard. Overall, I would not recommend this car yet, but I'd like to one day, after Mazda do the engineering properly, and address the asking price. Its unresolved.

Had one of these now for 3 months and I really like it but 🤣 in the review you comment about the really nice trim above the hazard light switch and the fact it doesn’t show finger prints. Why the foxtrot did they not use the same material for the door rest? You only have to look at them and there’s a fingerprint on them FFS! Also another couple of observations / why did or didn’t theyWhy did they fit the charge point at the front! Why is the horn like a toy car one, why didn’t they fit make 1 button turn off all the pings and pongs and why not make the front end a bit better looking! Apart from that, great car 👍👍

Does the ice engine have a cam belt or cam chain? If you have a memory stick with music. Will it play the music through the radio if you plug the memory stick into one of the USB ports? As you know the only way to work out true MPG is to do a brim to brim. The computer read out is never accurate on any car. Autocar magazine road test gave the overall MPG figure at 48 MPG. Who on earth came up with the bright idea of putting the 12 volt battery in the spare wheel well? Surely the battery could have been fitted to the right of the boot as in the Classic Mini with the boot carpet cut to size around the battery. Then the well could be used for a spare. Perhaps a good mechanic could convert that? My last moan is why is the car not offered in Orange like the MG4? That is the colour i would want if i bought the car. Perhaps Orange will be available at a later date as i know a split folding rear seat back will be available shortly.

The biggest problem with the new Mazda CX-60 is actually the poor quality of the suspension, which is too rigid and completely spoils the ride comfort and also the driving safety. Fortunately, Koni has released special shock absorbers for this model. I fitted them on my CX-60 3.3 Turbodiesel and the comfort is a bit improved. However, I find it shameful that I had to spend CHF 2000 to drive my car in conditions of sufficient comfort and safety!

The issue for me (Dave, the guy in the video) is the Model 3p just does not feel as fun to drive in the corners and is less practical. Also (in the UK) the moment you add an opinion it becomes the same price. Or if you add all 3 options much more expensive. Although the Tesla is biblically fast in a straight line. Probably need a new neck if I drove either of these cars daily 🤣
