Noah! I just got this pair in white and I agree it reminds me of Mizuno as well. K leather isn’t as thin and durability is most like not going to be as good but this brings that experience with way less cost!

I already got the black colorway and the comfort when putting those on did blow the Tiempo out of the way. The compression band on the Tiempo killed my feet in those break-in sessions. I would say it is comparable to the Morelia II MiJ since I'm using both of them at the moment. Definitely a great price for a quality pair of boots.

That's great feedback mate! I think a lot of people are surprised at how narrow the Legend 3s are right out of the box before you break them in. They're a great pair of football boots for sure, but I think these really do outclass them in most ways.

These look amazing!! I think this and the all red versions are the best colour way. Definitely going to try and pick these up as soon they’re available here in Canada. I know you tried the other NBs in the wide fit, do you think you’d benefit from trying the wide fit variation of the 442s or is this regular fit version wide enough? Also, do you think a head to head with the Mizunos is warranted or naw.

For real mate! Such an awesome colorway 🔥1) I have the regular fit and they're really comfy, so I don't think it's necessary for me to get the wide fit in the 442 (different story with the Furon). 2) After several hours of testing, maybe! I think these would be more on par with their 2nd tier boots as the MIJ versions are pretty difficult to beat in the durability and quality category. These do come close though I must admit... wild they're 1/2 the price of the MIJ models...

I have a question for you: I have very wide feed and tend to have between a size 10 and 10.5 US but these shoes are not available in a size 10 here in Germany, do you think a size 10 would fit me? Man I wanted those gold ones! Remind me of my Morelia ULs that I love but I’m afraid to wear and get scuffed up 😂 Not surprised they compete well with the Tiempos, I don’t find the leather quality on those to be all that premium even though they’re k-leather.

got them on Tuesday, and played a full 90 min game today with them. I have to say the leather doesn't feel as premium as the copa mundial, but the weight, these are extremely lightweight. Zero blisters, hot spots, or discomfort at all. Interestingly, New Balance doesn't claim they have K-leather, and JayMike from Unisport also mentions the grain size in the leather leads him to believe it's calf leather. All things considered, much cheaper than the mizunos or tiempo elite.

Thanks for another thorough, informative review. You describe the toe-box as relatively wide with very soft leather - do you think us narrow footed folks can go down 1/2 size without crushing our feet? I like a very snug fit…

That's a great question mate - I think you're better off in something like a Mizuno Morelia Neo 3 Beta. These fit really well in length, so I don't think going down 1/2 size would do you any good!

That's a great question mate! I haven't tried the Mizuno Neo 3 Pros so I can't say. What I do know is these are much more suited to wide footed players like me who can't fit in any of the Neo 3 line 🤝

how are these on the AG pitch? I usually prefer the AG sole plate for these kinda pitches, but these boots look so enticing enough to take a risk

This soleplate is basically an AG soleplate - just basic conical studs! I wear them almost exclusively on AG pitches (just what I have available), and they perform really well. No hot spots under my feet and there's really good balance to the plate.

My old boots decided to give up last week, so I've been on the hunt for a new pair. Only the limited edition has that much leather. The other colour ways have considerably more synthetic patches. Now, I can get the premiers in the UK for half the price of the 442 V2. It's a tough one.

Depends on what you want mate - there are pros and cons to both! I prefer the 442 because of the shape and how light they are, but I wear my premiers every once in a while still and they're great.👍🏼

They do great! I did an entire set of sprints in them with proper turning at full pace and I didn't have any issues. I actually really noticed the ability to pivot with the conical studs.🔥

Good question mate... At 1/2 the price, it's hard to beat - but no doubt in my mind the Morelia 2 is the best leather boot on the market period 🔥

@@NoahCavanaugh is there a boot that's Is a mix of the speedflow and mercs? I wear both and love both? Or is there a material that is between leather and the mercs or speedflow? Striking a ball in leather is so premium and will always go in but when I strike a ball with the nikes or speedflow the ball sometimes goes off direction

@@esportsmiyagi Not really mate - I'd say if you wanted something in between you could always try the Puma Ultra 1.4 or the Mizuno Morelia Neo 3 Beta which is leather and synthetic all in one boot. Best speed boot on the market as far as quality goes for sure.

Yes they are better than the academy. The academy is calfskin leather so if you look around and find them for around 60 dollars, it is good value for money.

In my opinion, no. But some people I'm sure will like the shape of the Legend 9 academy better! It just depends on your foot type. For me though, the speed boot weight and unreal quality of leather makes these the easy choice🔥

It depends on the boot for sure, some leather boots really don't fit me even if I think they're a good option for some people! I'd say the quality of knit boots has definitely gone down though since the HV3, Magista, and Vapor 13s went away!
