CZ doesn't get enough shit for how poorly they support the Bren 2. I have a 2018 x39 Bren 2S, and it is next to impossible to get certain spare parts up through today. 6 years, and it is literally easier to order spare parts from EU stores directly than deal with CZ. Throw on top the x39 issues where they initially blamed lacquered ammo and user error, when it was entirely the brens they import being overgassed to hell. Aftermarket vendors were able to get solutions knocked out before CZ could. Not to mention CZ had my gun for over a year in the middle of the x39 issues, and they somehow broke my barrel. But hey they compensated me by replacing my barely shot new barrel with one from a demo gun and a free hat, so totally all squared away. But yeah CZ pump out more guns you can't support, can't wait.

So basically, they took the bren 2 ms, put the HBI addons that we all do to the gun (suppressor setting gas regulator and handguard) on the fore-end, swapped in the bren 2 carbine profile barrel, did some stuff to the stock, and made wear components into separate replicable parts. Good package, but not really worth a buy for any serious bren2 users since we've done most of the functional/ergonomic changes already with aftermarket and we're not wearing out our uppers because, well, we're not mag dumping in trenches fighting a war.... well, except the eastern Europe bro's.... f's in chat. I'm really not a fan of the barrel change and steel insert thing since the big upside of the bren2 vs say, the mcx, WAS that it's lighter weight after you ditched the factory boat anchor of a handguard that was simultaneously too small and too heavy... which logically is impossible but somehow CZ managed it. Once you add weight to the gun in the barrel and all these additional steel inserts for wear components... not really sure if I'd have a use case for the Bren anymore given that I sorta think Sig's got CZ beat in most departments for their new age rifle. Might be the AR ergos guy deep in my soul coming through though. As for the inserts... most civilian shooters will never put the type of firing schedule through the gun that would result in chewing up your upper...and as for military use... most countries can just hand out new guns every few years. You'd think they'd run out of cannon fodder troops on both sides of a conflict before they ran out of Bren2's to hand out right? Then again what do I know... Russia and Ukraine DID blow through the entire world's ammo stockpiles in 3 years.

Minor: ambi charging out the box, rear of receiver overhauled, mag liner removed improving reliability of mag insertion, gas regulator easiar to use. I could go on, but they didn't just get the major overhauls right, all the little details were refined.
