It also worked with crafting skill but has an option in the configs to turn off player crafted items

I love that you can get R helicoprion in the ocean on genesis 2, there desperately needs to be something to do down there. In vanilla not adding an R plesi and an R tuso was such a massive missed opportunity

The dossier specifically says it's good at cutting up invertebrates, and when you attack an ammonite you are immune to the ammonite bile effect, which leads me to a very dangerous gauntlet test: Do you deal additional damage against jellyfish, and are you immune to their stings? And do they deal additional damage to tusos, and are they immune to being grabbed? The dossier also has a little crossed out tuso to show the invertebrate buff, so I think that last one is a yes

I think this creature should have an ability to increase in speed the longer you swim, they would start slow and then eventually hit a final speed, and depending on that speed it’s bite could do additional damage, kind of like the wooly rhino

With how weak they are at actually killing things, the fact you need to mutate then to always make a BP and otherwise they break it, and how the taming method has a decent chance to kill it… I think it’s perfectly fair

Well for a new player this creature is really usefull,transform weapons,tools(everything from drops) in blueprints and no more worries about engram points :).

i've most often heard it pronounced heel-eh-cope-ree-on, and what a fun creature to see! Fascinating how people envision that unique whorl of teeth in the mouth. This is definitely one of my favorite renditions

Helico hype lets freaking goooo! While shadowmanes are strong their thorns ability isnt the best while taming creatures. There are inis to adjust how effective the helico is at making bps, so you can buff or nerf as your server desires. We need more air creatures in ARK additions, I know Garugopteryx is eventually on the way but the skies need some love.

I think if you pick a percentage that would be “fair” and don’t pump the success rate beyond that then it would be ok. Maybe like, 80% or something.

It’s nice and balanced to some extent but maybe if like the Gacha the more points u pump the better the blueprints by like an extra 10% at max it doesn’t make much sense but it could be cool.I like your idea of the bleed because that’s what their teeth were for, slicing like a buzz saw.Anyway love your content can’t wait to see more

Consider that without TEK flight, this is a pretty time consuming and dangerous tame, plus you need tuso tentacles, so it might not be too terribly OP, since tribes at the level to tame it would be very high level. However it's crafting success probably should be a little lower, so that you would need to put in significant work to get one mutated to get 100% chance

Yeah, assuming regular 150 max level, an average one would have just under 28 in its crafting stat and only need 12 mutations to reach 100%. Probably a better number would be 1 or 1.25% crafting skill per a level. Requiring 100 or 80 skill points to max instead of 50. Also unless I screwed up my numbers 80 skill points for max is the only stepping stone between 50 and 100 that results in a nice percentage per point with only 2 decimals, 1.25%.

According to the Mod Page, the Helicoprion CAN turn both TEK and Skill Crafted items, but it needs to be changed in the INI Config, since it's disabled by Default. It also has a config where you can put a limit to the items that you turn into blueprints.

Hey Syntac, dunno if you will see this but I will say it regardless. If your able to add into the cluster here both the lost island and Fjordur maps, that could be more content to do with getting tames on those maps and building up bases over there. I think a cool Viking like setting for Fjordur could be cool. With the Lost island having perhaps tree houses for a base.

Hey syn, if a convert fails with the heli, there’s a chance you’ll get a skin for your heli! Also, try feeding it a rockarrot. It’s a little easter egg I suggested that got it. Have fun!

You should do a video where you do a tour through the bases you have on different maps and all your tames mutated or not, you dont have to do something special with them like defeat a boss but just talking about them if you have any stories or facts/tips and then going onto the next one is fine

A cool way to balance the creature would be to make it cost enemoti (I’m positive I’m spelling that wrong) gel to use the ability, and have all wild creatures in the area attack it during the 2 minute period where it can’t move because it’s crafting. Basically make the player defend it as it crafts.

Hey Syntac, I was hoping that maybe you could make a video of how you made your Cluster server? I will be getting my own PC soon, and I want to make my own Cluster server for me and my friends. Maybe make a short video on explaining how to make a server, and what settings you use. And mods. I also am not very good at Ark, and don’t know how you can transfer your stuff and Dinos onto another map. I think it has something to do with the tek transmitter, but I am not sure. I think it looks fun having a server with your friends, and having the same Dinos on different maps. At least consider it please. Maybe it could be an ark for dummies video.

I love the R-Variant too but I couldnt try how it does against tusos on Gen2 cause everytime I try to I get mobbed by idk 30 sharks and at least 3 alphas so I just turn back towards my underwater base and continue breeding them

Little bit off topic, But you need to do mutations on those turtles. They are crazy good. Immune to yellyfish. Stat whise a bit like a basilo but with more health and the advantage that they can turn on the spot which makes you never get stuck with them. I used a imprinted, non mutated one to do the water caves and kill alpha mosas.

Buzzsaw ratfish les go! Also no ammonites cannot be tamed... which is why the no untamables mod would be a great addition! Presenting tameable reaper queens, ammonites, glowbugs, jugbugs, seekers, deathworms and more. The heli is a squid farmer. He's for fighting squids.

Is it just me who didn't notice this until now but there was a helicoprion hidden within a pack of megalodon to the upper right there 3:29. They are difficult to spot compared to the immense amount of sharks
