Thanks for sharing this, you can really tell the difference. I know a lot of people look down on these devices but I love them especially as a solo shooter. I’ve never had anything more reliable than the 650 so it’s good to see an improvement in quality of the audio. I do think with some post work you can improve the 650’s audio to the 660’s standard so it will depend on price point for me

Good review Adam. I got the 650s because of you a few years ago. Mind you paid £55 for 2 on ebay!! They are expensive now especially when you can get the rode wireless go 2 kit which I’ve been using for a few months. I like to use both but the rode records to the cards and also a backup to the unit. Sony’s are very very handy though and set and forget

I just couldn't belive my eyes, when I. just searched for the 650 and it suggested me the 660... I remebered our conversation a while back and smiled very much, when I found this video (I searched 650 vs 660) :D Your enthusiasm did not dissapoint! Love you Adam

The 660 sounded louder and clearer. I might have to invest this soon

The 650 has more formats: MP3, Wave, etc. 660 only does mp3

Rubbing my hands deviously together as I hope this means the Tx650 may become less expensive hehe

Hi Adam! I just bought my TX660 and now made first test. I made the settings like u said in the other video. But now I am quite confused because the sound quality is rather bad, there is so much noise in my recordings! Do u know why is that? Did I make anything wrong?

Getting one for back up audio and a very reasonable price they seem great.For speeches you could get a microphone sleeve that way every speech giver uses the newer model.

the comparison doesn't look fair to me. 3" from the mouth compared to 6" from the mouth hence much more echo from the speaker behind him on the 650.

I ripped all my rubber covers off a few weeks ago anyway - they were such a nuisance! 😂
