Interesting thoughts on the BBX. Got one some weeks ago as my project for the winter. And no, I don't like the wheels! 😂

We called them mag (short for magnesium) wheels on this side of the pond.

I agree with you on chrome. If you spray the chrome with a satin clear it helps to make it look more like uncoated aluminum. I built an RC4WD hardbody Toyota truck buddy recently and the bright chrome made it look more toy like. I sprayed the chrome items in the satin and it looked so much better.

That's a good tip rather than removing the chrome with oven cleaner, which is what normally do

I grabbed a few GPM parts; drive shafts, transmission gears and housing, front knuckle arms. Etc, all in black.

What motor, pinion gear and esc do you think you’ll use?

Prob a HW combo I will expect - I have just purchased a "Rough Rider" as i never had one when I was younger - I have a HW combo already so not sure which one I will build yet

I enjoyed the video and was looking for part 2 actually. I'm hearing you on the missing parts but could understand the marketing pov of customers wanting either brushed or brushless. The type of off road I do calls for a 21 turn so was stoked when the bigwig had a technigold. I noticed on the box it says high performance. Not much performance in a car without a motor 😂 Not a fan of the chrome either. I think it might be because in the eighties a lot of the nasty knock offs did it to death. Looks cheap

Yep, kits missing the opportunity of a specific motor with a nice decal for the buggies which have a rear positioned set up, and I have ordered all the parts now, just waiting for 2 to arrive then Part 2 will follow. Cheers for commenting :o)

it's a money spinner which I partake in. Guilty. Prob why it's happening more often - hop ups and expensive upgrades - massive opportunity to coin it in - not saying it's right, but there we are

I have just finished this very over hyped kit , every man and his dog is online KZfaq telling us what a great vehicle this is , i do not agree , the tyres are crap , the wheels are tacky , the inner cage is made of playdough , the body is 6 piece which is totally pointless , the front suspension is way too soft , they threw in the bearings of which there are only 6 anyway ,then they take away the motor ! once the receiver is in place its a real pain to access , there is even a section in the manual that states the drive shafts may pop out !! these cars retail for nearly $ 500 AUD .

interesting comments, I have yet to build mine but I have purchased quite a few upgrades, this in itself is a telling point I guess, in its standard config, maybe not as good as expected?
