“We” have two majority black “COUNTIES” of mean$$$, not just a city but TWO COUNTIES!!! The next step is for “us” to start doing a bunch of BLACK joint ventures and community BLACK CO-OP businesses. These two counties show our individual successes but now we have to do what other communities do and come together financially and scale our businesses together. When you have control you must use it to your advantage. We control two entire counties AND have a Black Governor as well.

Everything you just stated is what happens in metro Atlanta, and across the south rather is black urban counties, suburban counties, and black rural counties via the black belt

Realistically these areas were traditionally predominantly white areas. However Maryland does have 24 black town such as the Hill which started in Talbot Co after 1730. These are at least 24 original black settlements in Maryland where free blacks built their own homes.

Similar experience. Grew up in Clinton. My oldest brothers yearbook had mainly white students. By the time I graduated the same school (surrattsville) 11 years later the complete opposite. They also got rid of many trade classes and replaced it with only ROTC. I always found that interesting

I thought Georgie was the black Mecca and the American South. The original Mitchellesville is in South Carolina. It is spelled with 1 L.

Yeah the only thing keeping alot of people from moving to Charles County is traffic. One way in and ome way out. Its like a baby Atlanta. The value for homes is definately there tho

Why are the schools in PGcounty rated so low. Especially the high schools. Eg, 2/10 for example, Northwestern High school in Hyattsville PG. Sure, the houses are nice etc but then parents will have to pay for private schools (usually in D.C) as local schools are rated so low. Please can it be explained?

I think it's because the two-parent incomes required for the high-priced homes leaves the kids on their own. Plus, we need to teach our kids that fighting is not our only way to resolve conflicts and our esteem should not be based on who whooped who's ass.

That’s actually not true you pick out one or two schools because that’s the white supremacist in you. The reality of the situation is that majority of the PG county schools are high-performing in all aspects., you non-black Americans really enjoy the anti-blackness and documentaries like this hurts your soul because truthful data is represented

The bigger story maybe Maryland has at least 24 black settlements built be newly freed slaves starting as early as the 1700’s. The Hill Community in Talbot County, Maryland is 1 of 24. Blacks from Dundalk, Maryland to Deale built their own homes, churches? And schools. The communities still exist today. #marylandblacktowns

Very different in size. Charles County MD 2023 TOTAL population 172,638 Prince George’s County 2023 TOTAL population 998,335

Because being scattered out across the country, where you have no power is delusional, illiterate, and Black Americans primarily live in the south as reverse migration takes place (KZfaq black reverse migration) black Americans will regain power over the south again identical to reconstruction to where we control the majority of the state, houses, governors, etc. like under reconstruction

You are correct the Gullah people were isolated and passed land and housing down from generation to generation. It appears there are loss and opportunities causing the migration possibly by the same group of people. Something seems weird about this. It could mean people are being disenfranchised or we may be disenfranchising each other. Part of it needs to be saluted another viewpoint is there is something bizarre about people constantly moving for opportunities without creating and passing opportunities on. This is definitely not our great grandmother’s Maryland. Land was their goal. Land equals power. We lasted in Maryland over 100 years because things got passed down. #marylandblacktowns

Every southern state where the black population is above 20% has a PG county Charles county such as Richland county South Carolina the various counties around Metro Atlanta same goes for Hinds county and Madison county Mississippi same goes for Jefferson County and Montgomery county Alabama Shelby county Tennessee, Mecklenburg/ Durham county, North Carolina, etc.

@@CITYOFSHOOTERS Well, as you can see with history, PG is nothing more than DC old original residence, just people from DC who moved across the street in the suburbs but after everybody from DC started to move into the nearby county, it became the same as DC so now everybody wants to move further out to get away only to run into the same people from DC all of it is basically DC just in Maryland, it’s all DC metropolitan area if you want to get away then you Should move out of the states? Otherwise, this is everywhere you go in Maryland, and Virginia

And the majority of Black kids in PG that are not low income/free lunch are STILL underperforming academically compared to their white and Asian counterparts. That tells me it's not about just income ... it's the PARENTS and BLACK CULTURE that don't celebrate and emphasize academics and personal development !!!!!

The Asian kids are upper-class Asians who flee from their failed countries to compare a upper class elite who ran from their countries to USA is not a reasonable measurement. You must compare all black Americans 50 million population to all Asians in their homeland, black Americans will come out on top as the data shows.

Latinos are up and coming in PG. We don't want to take over, but we need more representation and to be heard with a stronger voice in PG. We are no longer just "Langley Park", we are ALL over the county and we continue to grow while all others are in a decline.

Understand the way how congressional districts /county districts/elected offices are drawn out is based upon the eligible voting population. If majority of your Third World illegal demographics are illegal and cannot vote which is understandable because you’re not citizen, you do not count so though you may be 20% of PG county the voting demographic is well below 5% to have a congressional district. You must have a 25% population of eligible voters y’all don’t because y’all are primarily illegal immigrants who need to be deported very soon. Luckily title eight was put in place by the black caucus and Biden.
