These are significant and I think great changes! Does make me wonder what happens with Swiftstride and post combat reform. Thanks for the video!

While I do like most of the changes (also in the previews in the forums) it saddens me to see that the charge range change made it into the final release. That is the one change I disliked the most for the main reason, that it messes with your "muscle memory" on the table, while it does not change the underlying issue, that spikes can still hhappen. Now the spike is just rolling a 1 or 6 instead of a 5 or 11. I also dislike that the variance is linear now, compared to the more even distribution of 2 dice, where the average was rolled more evenly. To me that feels a change just for the sake of change that ignores the problem (if you want to call it like that) and adjusts in the wrong way. Also failing charges with cavalery is huge now, stumbling forward 9 inches is a lot xD but this might be a good change. It definitely makes positioning more important, as you know where you will end up.

Can't disagree with any of that. I love the idea of having to get closer however Two dice rolls has been a staple for a long time. Hopefully break/leadership tests don't have too much alteration.

The high move units failing I like actually so risk is much greater

@@Krishtov830 jeah i think so, too. Having a charge with a horse with adv9 wa quite riskfree, as you most likely would still be out of range of any infantry at that point. E.g. 19 inch is a 10, you stumble forward 4, still a 15 so 10-11 for infantry. Now it is a 5-6 ^^ I want 2d6 charge ranges to stay, though :(

@@Krishtov830 this will be a public beta. We expect some rules to change or adapt. We can’t promise what will or will not change, but we want to gather feedback from the playerbase on whether the changes achieve the results. Internal playtesting showed that while it was different, many found it better once they adapted to it as the new normal. We ask the community to trial it and keep an open mind!
