2 жыл бұрынAlexander Skarsgård and Anya Taylor-Joy are interviewed for Robert Eggers' The Northman. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe. Stefan Pape turned up with his questions, asked them.
Plot: The action-filled epic follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder.
The Northman will be released in cinemas 15th April, 2022.

Anya is beyond stunning, she has such a unique look. Her acting is phenomenal, absolutely loved The Witch and The Northman has just become one of my favourite films of ALL time. Was so excited to watch it after seeing the cast.

She is a very beautiful actress. Nevertheless, she doesn't look Slavic in the film (that fact is dropped into the eye all the film). Most of Slavic women (80%) have blue or blue-grey eyes and not white gold, but linen (wheet) or mixed hair (but not coloured)...The antropological example of typical Ukrainian (Kievan Rus, or Gårdariki) girls is below...

Great actors! Alexander looks and sounds a lot like his father but is very much a unique performer in his own right! Anya started so strong in The Witch and has continued to keep growing into one of the greats!

Absolutely blown away, what a masterpiece... the symbolism and themes crafted throughout this movie were well done. Taken from different source materials (historic cultural accuracies)and brought together through creative license, really put this movie into an Epic level of cinema perfection! Skarsgård, Defoe, Hawk, anya Taylor-Joy and Bjork were absolutely brilliant 👏

I remember when Anya Taylor-Joy had just appeared in The Witch and I was one of the first ten people to follow her on Twitter and Instagram. I had a feeling she had a brilliant career ahead of her and I'm glad to see I was right. This young woman is a massive talent and she's just getting started.

May 13th 2022 Just seen the movie and it was a master piece of a film. There were parts I was almost in tears and being a little familiar with Nordic mythology I followed along quite well and recognized the mythology like scenes. The Northman is the best movie I have seen in a long time.

Alexander is awesome. Hes one of my fav actors. I thought it was cool he's doing Northman being he plays Eric Northman in True Blood. It's crazy that he has so much family that are actors. Stellan Skarsgård being his father and his siblings Gustaf Skarsgård and Bill Skarsgård. Gustaf was a Viking when he played on Vikings. Anya Taylor-Joy is a awesome actor. Very beautiful!

There is a great skit that Julia Louis-Dreyfus did called "Last F*ckable Day," which is about the point in an actresses career where she suddenly find herself playing the mom of guys who are like 7 years younger than her meanwhile those dudes are still getting roles where they hook up with girls in their early 20s.

I haven't seen the film yet, but isn't the casting because of the big time jump from when Alexander's character goes from a boy to an adult? Nicole is a few years older than Ethan Hawke who's playing the father. I assume they aged her up for the parts when Alexander is in the son role?
