Adopted Philly sound, by way of Cincinnati, Ohio! The great lead singing of Walter Williams and Eddie LeVert! They are currently on their farewell tour after touring all these years! Still sounding snd performing great at 80 years old! Over the years, they never lost that performing passion! Thanks for the music Gentlemen! ❤

Omg, all of the O'Jays are just soulful & classic, but I can't help saying that there will never in our lifetime be another "Eddie Levert" to take us to church like he does so well! Yes, that's Gerald Levert's father (if you know who the late Gerald Levert is). Eddie Levert once characterized the difference between his singing partner (Walter Williams) and himself...he said: "Walter is smooth and his singing is like a 'house n3gro', but the way I sing is more like the 'field n3gro'!) lol However you choose to describe the way Eddie sings, all I know is, again there'll never be another one like him in our lifetime!.......Good reaction!

The best way I can say what I want here...I love this (version) of this song. There is a female group called Pure Soul. They did their version of this song...beautiful. However, The version ft. The O' Jays is now my favorite version of the song. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The song is better with the men and women vocals.

My neighbor when I was a teen, use to babysit Eddie Laverts kids when they were youngsters. That was a big deal to me because my pop was a serious Ojay's fan.

Eddie Levert hassuch a strong voice. His sons had a group called Levert tnat had some great soul and voices as good as their father. Tnis oldest son was also in LSG, (Levert, Sweat and Gill) "Door #1", "My Body."

You're absolutely right when you said on this and your other videos that the fellas nowadays don't really understand the concept of what you would do and go through no matter how foolish it looks to others to get your woman back when you Know you've done wrong. I was looking at two young fellas doing a reaction to The Temptations Ain't Too Proud to Beg. When David Ruffin got to a certain line about doing what he needed to do to let his woman know how he feels they were having none of it. Ruffin sang"If I have to sleep on your doorstep all night and day just to keep you from walking away. Let your friends laugh even this I can stand cause I want to keep you, any way I can. Ain't to proud to beg. When they heard that they were like 'What? Sleep on your door step? Forget that. Ain't no way. I ain't sleeping on anybody's doorstep to get nobody back.' They didn't out right laugh at it but they just didn't get it. I mean they like good music I've seen a number of their videos and they react pretty good to the old school stuff but this time they couldn't understand how back in those days why guys would be so determined to get their women back. Back then caring was and should always be about giving love and overloving. Watching your videos I can you see understand what the ladies back in my day felt when fellas pleaded with their ladies to return to them. Take care ❤

@TheOfficialAshleyReacts, songs like THIS and this era are the reasons right or wrong, people who grew up in, or their parents played this in the house look DOWN on todays music. You cannot compare at ALL! The feel, rhythm, lyrics. I might get called a hater, lol trash is trash. I recommend going even deeper into O'jays, Isleys, Earth, Wind & Fire, Teddy P, Al green, I can go on for days, lol
