When I land my ships on Mun or Minmus, I always fear that I lose control of the Kerbal going on EVA and that it slams into a solar panel or two while I attempt to regain control on his RCS jet pack... Happened several times, whereever I put the solar panels on the ship, there is always one that is destroyed by a lose Kerbal on RCS...

I literally have no words to describe how amazing this is. My lowest mass mission to Eve involved a three core 2.5 meter rocket with a large upper stage, two one hundred meter long motherships with their own huge launch vehicles, and a nerva powered transfer ship. Granted, it carried five Kerbals though... Great job as usual, I believe this is a world record!

well robotug does not have a permanent physical manifestation, the fuel was simply a temporary vessel for his conscience. so no his family were not the other oscar fuel tanks. the tank used as manifestation however...

They don't ignore heating, but the heating is very favourable as long as the Kerbal isn't at the front. This is why the descent chair is balanced to keep the Oscar tank in front of BIll.

@@santiagob.1071 It is useful a lot. It packs a ton of deltaV for small-mid size satellites when compared to other engines. It wont get them moving quick but itll get the job done

Kerbal Engineer mod helps by showing everything like apoapsis height so hr doesn't need the map for circularisation. Apart from that I guess he cuts out the maneuvers cuz it's pretty boring to watch someone tweak that.

@@KageTheDanish yeah, it's pretty annoying at the beginning. Basically, use as little parts as possible, try to keep an aerodynamic profile and always put fins at the bottom of your ship. Make 2 stages, put 2-4 solid boosters on the bottom and the swivel engine. Make the top stage with only 1 fuel tank and the most efficient engine you have. Lastly, when coming back only peek into the atmosphere, and make sure your craft is as small as possible. Good luck!

Speaking of minimalist missions to Eve (two years later), how about one that includes landing at low altitude, and uses a rover to take the entire craft up to high altitude for launch? With nothing left behind on Eve.

Here's an idea: A tilt wing/tilt engine design. But not just ANY tilt design, I'm talking something that can be used as a fighter for space combat. (I'm thinking a single pod with ion engines at the rear for long range missions, two large engines mounted to the sides, two smaller engines mounted to the big ones, and then wings that fit between the smaller engines.) (So basically the ARC 170 from Star Wars if it was a tiltwing and had the X-Wing engines.) (Bonus points if you make the wings unfold like the ARC 170.)
