A huge thank you to the hero of this episode, Filip, who invested the last two weeks (without counting his previous involvement) to prepare and edit this film for you. Thank FILIP! Great JOB!

An episode from a series of experimental results based on a specific oil, a specific car/engine, a specific method of operation. The kinematic viscosity is checked in the laboratory (the viscometer used for the tests is Stabinger SVM 3001). The limit value is set at +/- 15%. If, as a result of operation, the engine oil changes viscosity above this value, it should be considered that the oil change was carried out too late. Otherwise, you can consider extending the operating time - in this case, additional laboratory tests are necessary (TBN, TAN, wear elements, etc.). The episode also features the recording of the oil spectrum in the infrared (Nickolet IS10 spectrometer). The following are checked: degradation of additives, antioxidants, levels of oxidation, nitro oxidation, sulfonation, content of unburned fuel, etc.
The photos of the car presented in the film show the car that actually took part in the tests. The laboratory recordings also reflect the scope of the analyzes performed.

The main issue discussed in this series of episodes focuses on this question -
How specific oil behaves in real-life conditions (taking into account various conditions of use). My goal is to answer the question, what is the optimal oil change frequency ?
