Kršan was mentioned for the first time in year 1274, ruled by the duke Gorički and later in behalf of Habsburgs monarchy, the Kerstlein family. Today the castle is abandoned.

Kršan is a village and municipal center in the eastern part of Istria county, 9 km north of Labin; in western Croatia. It is located in the karst area, which is where its name comes from: krš=karst Thanka you for watching and asking!! 😊
