@@subjectc7505 again....back at the time...many people have viewed her as just another ocean liner...they never valued her like we do today...same with Queen Mary, same with Queen Elizabeth, same with Titanic, and same with Britannic. Yes Titanic was famous for being the largest liner ever built..but many ships after her had claimed that title as well...If she wouldn't have sunk, she too would've likely been put into war, and then scrapped after...completely lost to time. It was her sinking that immortalized her and her sisters.

It appears that the flags are at half mast in some of these shots... I think this recording was made after Olympic rammed and sank the Nantucket Lightship. She would be coming in with the survivors, and have lowered all flags to half mast in honour of those the sinking killed.
