Dear John, this is the best review of this watch on youtube! I finde last month NOS model from AD. The Seamaster trilogy is one of the most beautiful divers in watch history. I as a big fan of Rolex can say that this watch is maybe more beautiful to me than any Rolex diver. Masterpiece! Authentic vintage design, 39 mm, glass, bazel, matte dial, dark brown nato strap, no crown guard, original vintage Omega logo on dial..👌👌👌

Anthony, my brother, that was great. Thank you and thanks to Bernard Watch for letting you review the Seamaster. I remember the brew ha ha when this released at Baselworld. I had seen still pictures that didn’t give it the justice that your video does. It looks stunning. Now I realize where Baltic was getting the inspiration from with the HMS001. Anyway, great review!!! Watching that bezel turn backwards gave me the same uncomfortable feeling as watching someone's arm get bent backwards. Funny how the mind works. Killer watch. Great vid.

Don't know why I hadn't thought about this before, but you can track the date on non-date divers by moving the pip every day over the minute track. The first day of the month would be the 59th minute on the track, 2nd is the 58th minute, etc. It's a great way to track a date and still keep a clean dial. Not to mention the manual effort of tracking the date means you interact with your watch more and bond with it daily.

Crazy how I thought the 60th sm300 was just the RM with a bezel, and that after buying the sm I wouldn’t need the rm. But now I feel like I need the rm!

Kindly correction, the 39mm trilogy version is calibre 8806, which is different from standard version with calibre 8400 which can change the hour hand without hacking the second hand

The featured Omega's outclasses the newer Sub's and are priced right. Have been thinking about picking one up and it's fun to grind those Omega AD's. Must be at least 20 Omega AD's in greater LA. Good to see you, JA.

Just stumbled onto the trilogy while looking at the SM300. Thanks for putting them side by side. The omega on the crystal is a nice touch along with the thin bezel, but I think I'll still go with the more modern version. Good review.

With the old bezel you don't line up the dot. You line up the time from which you want to count down and when the minute hand hits the dot is when the timespan has elapsed.

Great video! Just a point of reference; the 1957 Trilogy Seamaster has the 8806 METAS Master Chronometer movement. The Seamaster 300 MC has the previous generation 8400 Master Co-axial movement. I have both and they are excellent. I cannot tell you the difference in the 2 movements, other than the 8806 has gone through the METAS certification. The 8400 is still the >15,000 gauss Master Co-axial movement.

I also compared these two head to head. I thought the 300 coaxial felt like a nicer watch overall to me. It has a nicer execution of the dial, with the sandwich dial instead of the lume-filled cutouts and a more textured surface. It has the ceramic/liquidmetal bezel instead of aluminium, and the lume has a less intense color orange that I think is nicer. That said, I like the overall dimensions (lug to lug similar, 1mm less height, 2mm diameter difference) and the bracelet (brushed outer links) of the '57 better.

Yeah but I still like the way the bezel on the trilogy looks better even though it probably doesn’t feel as good to use as the regular version but for me the only thing that makes me unsure about the trilogy is the intensely custard filmed lume. I don’t like how in some lights it almost looks pumpkiny and how it diracts from the legibility of the already small dial

Good review, but the focusing wasn't always right. Love this piece more than the standart version, but it's just a little bit smaller, than I want it to be. So, the perfect one will be just between these two. Cheers!

Blast from the past! Looks great but I'm not gonna pay premium price for it because of it being a limited edition. Aluminium bezel and all but too pricey. When compared to the 300MC, i'd rather get that one.... Liquidmetal ceramic bezel etc..

Its a great watch the price is way too high for me , so I'm going to get the Tudor BB 58 next. The SM300 Co Axial is awesome as well but too thick for my wrist.

Tudor's a great watch, and that model is amazing, but it isn't equivalent. The Omega 1957 Trilogy Edition Seamaster has the METAS certified Master Chronometer, >15,000 anti-mag, 8806 movement. It is state of the art. Just two very different levels.

The Trilogy piece is excellent. Looks so much smaller than the GMT even though its only 1mm!!! The GMT looks like a 44mm in comparison.

Maybe just a little bit to small, I think I’m drawn to the 233.30.41.21.01.001 at 41mm and a lot cheaper. That said the Trilogy piece is beautiful and attention to detail is absolutely amazing, well done Omega . I Appreciate your video comparing the two, excellent 👍. Probably a good idea for me to try them both on

Always watch and appreciate your reviews. There’s something going on with the crystal on this Trilogy re-issue. Lots of reflections. Is it domed in some way to keep the vintage vibe, or maybe not much anti reflective coating? It’s a good looking watch either way, and with this one I’m glad there’s no date. Cheers.

I actually prefer the reissue it just looks better the dial has more detail and I prefer the vintage look with the modern twist. I am not sure I would pay the premium cost for the limited edition version.

Thank you for the great video. First time I see a thorough review of the Limited Edition. With the Bi-directional bezel I can have:- Date: like the good old time with the paper calendar. I wake up, move the bezel two clicks. Voilà, I have the date indicated by the pip.- Elapse time: pip in the minute hand and I keep track of time (just use the markers as 5-minute marks)- Count Down: bezel at the exact amount you want to count-down and check until the hand arrives to the pip.- And of course GMT: know your geography and time zones! set the pip on the 12 o-clock of the time zone you want to check.No complications but multifunctional!!! And yes...it is faster than my cellphone. :-)

This was an uninformed review that wasted a lot of its ten-minute duration. The movement in this one is the 8806. When filming a ten-minute review of a special model such as this, I would expect the reviewer to at least find out what movement the watch has. That is just the basic requirement of a watch review. ”I think the movement in this one is the XXXX” is incredibly lazy. If you just opened the booklet that came with the watch, or checked the Omega site, you would have figured the movement out in one minute. Also, you practically showed the watch from the top-view most of the time. The clasp functions (a no-tool instant micro-adjustment system!) and a proper side profile of the watch were missing. Not to mention the description of the finishing and shaping of the case. Also, the thumbnail picture of your video doesn’t even depict the watch you are reviewing. You even failed to list the exact measures of the watch - another basic feature of a watch review. It is stuff like this that makes or breaks a watch channel.
