I hated that. He was just a boy who didnt know who he truly was until he was a teenager. Subtle hints that something wasnt right about him until he searched. I must disagree with you.

What is really interesting is the fact that the making of the first omen movie wich launched in theaters back in 1976 was a really dramatic progress. The rottweilers attacked their trainers, Gregory Pecks (✝️) Plane nearly crashed when he returned from italy to america. Some said all these "random accidents" happened because everything had to go very fast because they had the date (06.06.1976) when the movie should be ready (f.e. too much stress for the rottweilers) other People said the movie was touched with a curse. Never play with the devil. There is even a rumor that the scene when Gregory Peck (Father of Damien) wanted to climb back from the cementry was not planned. The rottweilers really prevented him to go back and the film crew lost control. But it was so realistic they put it in the movies. But do not take these dog scenes as made up!! In Fact Peck and the guy who played the journalist where in a really critical situation.

@@mhlaclase178 It really seems supernatrual but these are actual facts! The Rottweilers where put to extreme stress! The scene on the cementry should have been completley different. In the remake you see the rottweiler suddenly attack the father of damien (Liev Schreiber), but on the 1976 original when the camera came to the scene with Gregory Peck who said "murders" sudenly the Rottweilers went agressive. If you watch closely, you'll soon realise, that this came quite surprising for the actors. At this time you did not have this sort of technology required for special effects like this! This was clearly out of control and the hits on the faces of the Rottweilers where clearly no fake! But they took the scene because it was fitting wonderfully in the movie. At least this is what i heard...

This Film Changed from UK Cinema Cert 18 to Cert 15: I can remember watching this version of 2006 The Omen in UK Cinemas, as I just passed 18 of age, and saw this film, and i can remember seeing the info on Apollo cinema website as 18 cert, with logo 18 cert in the cinema, when this film was released on DVD as uncut and extended edition versions was a Cert 15, and saying what, it was a 18, as i watch the dvd there was so much scary stuff cut out, now all the sites online according to bbfc is 15, that cant be right, however the running time at cinema without ads was 109m 44s and home video is 105m 17s, so something is cut off!

The Young Man who played Damien Seamus Davey Fitzpatrick also played a "disturbed" Little Boy, William "Will" Winslow, on Guiding Light whose Bio Father Alonso Baptiste was the "True" Prince of San Cristobel, he died and although his adoptive Mother Cassie did her best to raise him with her Husband Josh, he was such a Bad Seed. Will knew that Josh didn't love Cassie and in the long run he was sent to Juvenile Hall and was never seen or heard from again.

An interesting trivia: During the filming of The Omen, Davey-Fitzpatrick was never told that his character was supposed to be the son of the Devil; co-star Julia Stiles has commented that it was because the filmmakers thought "he was too young to understand it".

Have you read Rosemary's Son? It is an extremely dark sequel, with only the tiniest sliver of faintly flickering light (that might be hellfire) at the end. Slightly dated, IMO, since it was written a while back, but still a well done novel with a riddle in it that will keep you puzzling for a long time after you finish it! (ROAST MULES)

This trailler has everything a good horror movie needs... Starts normal goes into myth gives both of action without loosing it's horror elements and it has an apocalyptic touch wich leaves room for interpretation for what will happen when the day comes and satan is reborn. Without being a participating christ, i read the bible. Its so interesting what people believe. I even read Coran and Tora (5 Books of Moses) in parts. What i miss a bit in te last 2 is that coran and Tora (only my opinion) do not give so much stuff for horror movies. If you read the book of revelation you see its a paradise for horror film makers. But do not see a Monster with seven heads and three tails as a monster, see it as a seemingly harmless child or even grown up that integrates in society normaly. His patents do not know that their adopted child was given birth by a chacal wich christs believe in fact will happen to satan once he gets reborn on the day of the final conflict good vs evil. Listen to Enya's Pax Devorum. It is so diabolic and fits to omen like spagetti and tomatoes😎

@@chaosiscoming9184 It’s actually a direct prequel to the The Omen 1976. But there is room for sequels for The First Omen. It sets up a perfectly good horror franchise. I hope they take advantage of it and not mess it up. Also I think Nell Tiger Free nailed her role greatly. I’d love to see more of her.

This one did well, they should do a sequel to it, cos like u said and I want too also see the girls return and it's time for a New take on The Omen. the last one that came out was in 2006. When u watch prequels nowdays u get attached to certain characters knowing u won't see them again cos this is a one off prequel. I hate that feeling.. the girls returning to idk find and destroy Damien and the church coming to stop them would be cool. Then the 3rd movie he unleashes demons from hell on earth and that ends with people going back to church and the nuns like they wanted xD lol

I just watched this movie for the first time (saw the 1976 version when I was a teenager). That was wholly unacceptable. Wow that was bad. Seriously it is one of the worst horror films- sorry, one of the worst MOVIES I've ever witnessed. How did it even earn the right to be called "The Omen"? I'm still in disbelief at just how terrible it was. I was rolling my eyes and screaming into my couch with frustration every few seconds. It wasn't even laughably bad. It was just horrible. Haven't seen a horror movie that bad since Dead Silence. Please someone erase this movie from existence.

I totally agree. Some things you can't improve on. They used the same script and just updated "some". The movie was horrible. I thought 🤔 well further along in the film it might get better..... WRONG!!! watch the original Omen and pass this one by.

Scripture never speaks of "an" Antichrist or "the" Antichrist, and antichrist does not mean a man seeded by the devil who is in all ways the opposite of Christ. The Bible speaks of the spirit of antichrist, where the literal Greek "anti-" means "in place of," such that anything a human puts at the head of his life is antichrist, in the place of Christ. Wealth can be antichrist, sex can be antichrist, a parent or a child or a lover can be antichrist. But there is no scriptural basis for a man whose life is literally opposed to Christ.
