To get the Morning Time Explorations I mention in the video and let us do all the hard work of planning for you, visit pambarnhill.com/explore.
Have you tried loop scheduling in your homeschool or Morning Basket but found yourself going a little loopy from juggling all those subjects at one time?
Sometimes you just need to focus on one thing and that is what we are talking about today. If loops aren't for you, or if you just need a season to slow down and do less, check out this video for how to do it.

Mind. Blown. 🤯 Nine years into Homeschooling. (10 in September). Been following Pam Barnhill for years. Never thought of just focusing on just ONE THING. Revolutionary! Only when my kiddos we're little did we get through out entire morning basket in under an hour. This will definitely help with time and make it more regular. Thank you.

Ok. Now. This makes sense. When I saw a morning basket with 20 items I was blown away. The whole concept of a morning basket was a new idea to me. I am new to homeschooling. And I am still researching the idea, but I like the suggestion of just focusing on one subject, rather than 5 or more different ideas all within 1 hour..... a poem, music, geography, read a loud, etc, etc.

Super efficient way of doing morning! We are going to start a "morning time" this next year as it is our 2nd year and I'm feeling a bit more confident 😉 but the looping baskets were giving me anxiety and causing me to procrastinate on creating a schedule lol 😆 thank you for this video! I want more! Haha

Only loop if it works for you! I have been known to start the year without one, switch to looping, and switch back again all in the same year!

We have had a crazy year this calendar year so far and I was already planning to simplify our Morning Basket this year and use this idea before I even saw this video! It always feels good to hear that your own ideas are an actual "thing" that other people do too. 😊

This is fantastic! I am sort of doing this for this next year. I always have loops planned in our morning time, but we rarely get to them because of the every day things. So I jotted a note to myself at some point to do one loop per month. So we will do our daily things, and then at the end of morning time we will do geography mon/wed and our planned loop tues/thurs. I have several loops, and there are just enough to go through them twice. Math, music, Bible extras, beauty, and one called other (logic, manners, mazes, random stuff). I am so excited to actually get to do these things that we've been trying to do for a few years now!

This resonates with me so much more than a loop schedule approach. Thanks for the inspiration to get me started on this new approach.

Love this schedule so much more!! I have two toddlers and a seventh grader so it's very hard to be consistent in our morning basket. When doing a loop schedule, so many things get missed and then after a few weeks it all falls apart.

Hi Pam. Great thought. That's what we generally end up doing. The basket just holds my "in the radar" things for that morning block... yet we generally go through them one at a time. Wondering about that Movie Music study you did. Do you have a resource for it, video, link to know more. I would really like to dive into that.

The music study was part of a membership (SQUILT) I was in a couple of years ago. I have no idea if it is even still available in there.
