Trust me on this guys. Marriage is a wonderful gift from God and is a beautiful thing. BUT, a lot of marriages are bad and totally disappointment and even pure torment. I have been married 2 times and divorced 2 times. I have spent several years alone when I wanted a wife so bad. The best thing is to be content in the situation you are in . Wait on God. Pray about it and be nice to people Do NOT even DATE a non Christian . Don't do it! It is a HUGE mistake if you are a believer and you date and or marry and unbeliever. Do not have sex before marriage. Its a sin and it brings heartache. I know because I did it. Being married will not make you happy. Only the Lord can give you peace.

I'm 23, 2 days ago the one girl I thought God had sent me, broke up with me. She did it over the phone but it kinda felt like she just stabbed me in the chest. After she hung up, I went to my room, closed the door and asked God why this happened. Soon after I felt a soft sudden shift of emotion in my heart. It was a feeling of reassurance; I knew I had to stop trying and let God take control. I realized that he has everything planned. So now I've moved on, I go to work everyday and just continue living the life God wants me to live. But I have peace in my heart knowing that somewhere out there is a girl that God made just for me! And I sure can't wait to meet her! 😊

Believe it or not. I stopped the dating apps because I was discouraged by hearing the voice of God say NO to each one of them. But the last guy I saw in an app I was using, God confirmed to meet him. I was discouraged but he insisted to meet this guy. So when we met, we had so much Supernatural confirmation that we decided to continue dating. We're crazy about each other. So just let the Holy Spirit lead you.

“Behind every great man, there is a greater woman”. That’s who I’m looking for. Someone who can make me a better person, and make me want to do good things for her too. Someone who can comfort me and help me know who to do the same for her. Someone who I can laugh with and open up to. Someone I can be intimate with and touch. Someone who can show me how to do things I’ve never done before. Adventurous. Someone who I can cry with when we express our love together.

I’m definitely not going out looking for someone. Because I did it before and now we are separated and working on a divorce. So I suggest that everyone pray before making a decision to date and marry.

As someone who has done all of these approaches and had nothing come of it. I sought the Lord during this whole period about it and he ended up saying it wasn’t the season yet, so guys 4th approach the Lord has you working on yourself first until the season is right.

From personal experience: God will “RANDOMLY” bring us/ show us his will for us if we are being obedient to him & loving him. It’s not that complicated. But I don’t think there is a such thing as “random” in God’s eyes... God works “ALL things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28 & He is sovereign over everything & His will will happen in HIS TIMING. If you are taking the “NATURAL APPROACH” you need to make sure you’re checking your heart and your MOTIVES that you are not going to church MAINLY to meet a spouse but going to church out of your love for God! Pray for God to help you be content with Him. He will not give you something that you are going to make an idol out of.

I found my man of God through the Intentional approach, Yes I tried 1 & 2, but he found me through a Christian online dating group, not through a dating site....We been dating God's way through the entire process. Our joy is that God will get the glory out of this bc we both had faith God brought this together..

I've read several articles that say "You'll find the right person when you're not looking !" or "You'll find the right person when you love being single !" . If you want your groceries, they're not going to deliver themselves to your front door, you have to go to the grocery store . If you want dinner, it's not going to make itself, you have to cook it . If you want a spouse, you have to go looking for one and pull out all the stops . If a woman says "I'm not looking for a husband !", she won't like being married, and I won't take her away from the single life she loves so much . If you don't look for a spouse, you can't ever find one ! I need a woman who wants to get married and who's really seriously looking for a husband !

I've tried the natural approach with taking classes at church, volunteering, and the online thing was nothing but fake accounts with people just wanting money. I've been divorced for over 8 years and would love to be married again one day. It's just heartbreaking not making a connection. I pray for my future wife and am continuing to grow myself to be who she can trust and be open with.

This is definitely oversimplified. I’ll never do the random approach. I tried the natural approach for years only to get friend zoned by the Godly women I liked. I gave the intentional approach a try for a while via online dating but it turned out to be a joke. I had a few friends try to hook me up but they weren’t great matchmakers. I eventually just felt discouraged and took a step back and focused more on my spiritual walk. I pray for this desire daily and keep my eyes open for who’s out there at church and other Christian activities. However this will have to be God’s provision because nothing I do works. I’m not a geek. I dress nicely and confidently, and I treat women with respect. It’s all about walking by faith. Right now that’s all I have.

I appreciate your viewpoint. But, I think it's always important to keep our perspectives in light of God's Word. While I do believe people can take things to the extreme and operate out of fear to not pursue relationships, Proverbs 19:14 says that "Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD." Believers need to seek God first and everything else will be added. It's sounds cliche because people say it so often yet without really grabbing hold of its truth. It's easy to lose our patience when things are not happening, but I believe that if God has someone for you He will create a way for both to meet. Ephesians 2:10 shows us that we are God's workmanship, therefore He has everything good concerning us planned already.

We used to have a saying in the military; "'Hope' is not a principle of war." Note that we, as Christians, have a similar statement; "The Lord helps those who help themselves."

I am still waiting for God to being me that Christian man, I will be waiting for him, God timing is not mine. I will wait.

There are times I get afraid and pressured because I'm not getting any younger anymore. But I always thought as well that God always has a perfect time for everything. And I know He will give you the best of more than you could wish for. I will pray for that man every single day. Because man will pursue you, he will be willing to change for better... for you.

Focusing on my relationship with God and serving with Him to help others and grow is the most important. I do hope to have a loving, God-fearing husband someday. . . But, His timing is ALWAYS right. Never too late or too early. As Mr. Interpreter says in the book, "Pilgrim's Progress," "It's sooner than you think, but longer than you wish." And, it would be nice if people would stop asking me if I'm married, or if I have children, or other questions relating to such things. . . I guess being my age it is somehow expected for me to be in a relationship with a gentleman. But, my Heavenly Father knows my heart and my mind needs and hopes and wants. Think about this: I’ve prayed and looked for job and didn’t got any , I have prayed and went to the doctor and haven’t been cured, I have prayed and searched for a wife and haven’t find it. God has a plan on everything whether we like it or not, whether we understand it or not. Nevertheless, I am without job, kind of Ill, and without a wife, AND I AM HAPPY AND CONTENT because God gives me, in everything he does, the fulfillment I need to live, builds my character and strengthens my faith. He’s got a perfect plan based not on my desires but in His perfect plan making me grow on these virtues. Now I know I could be with a job, perfectly healthy and with a wife beside me, but that not necessarily means I am happy with my life. (Wouldn’t I know..) Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city the guards stand watch in vain. Remember marriage is not heaven, it’s a difficult task, it’s just a tough test to believe in God and learn to forgive. Ask around. If you’re looking for a spouse, check your faith, maybe there’s still a void God needs to fill. Maybe you haven’t learned to appreciate what you’ve got, God knows you’ll be the same being married. If He has a spouse for you, he will bring this test of love and faith like any other test he has been bringing.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the video. Great content. The Bible says Faith without Works is dead. I believe that when a single Christian gets to the place of maturity which has nothing to do with age because some attain maturity at 40yrs while some attain maturity at 25yrs. This also has alot to do with divine purpose and God's timing for that purpose. If they are ready with the right mindset, heart and integrity and pray for a spouse, and position themselves in the right Christian single groups, there is a high chance that they will meet the one God has ordained for them. You have to be the one to meet the one. Thanks.

I've been divorced for 19 yrs, raised my kids but working at home for 28 yrs does not favor me in meeting a one good godly man. He'll never find me on the couch but it's fine. Well, I'm not sure what God's will is for me. I want to be in his will always.

#1 kinda tho. i never hoped for anything and i didnt expect anything coming. one day a guy replied to my insta story. we're both christians and have mutual friends. we started talking and everything went so well its like we fell in love. we fasted for 2 days to see if this is from God. I feel it in my heart that he is the man of my prayers. literally every box was checked. when we started talking, we told eachother what our intentions were. we have a lot in common and agree on a lot of things. cant wait to meet him :)

I have not had anyone yet in my life, but I have known some people who went on a mission trip or a Christian assignment (YoungLife summer staff, where a group of young people work together for 3 or 4 wks at camp and serving among high school campers).

I tried the first two approaches and doesn't work for me. I went to the third approach, I'm ended up married and find a good husband with the qualities that I searched. I thank you to explained these approaches. For many years, I believed that the way I meet my husband was wrong.

It's great to be intentional however your opinion puts more pressure and focus on the individual and not on God. Praying for a good spouse and following the leading of the Holy Spirit cannot be said to be the least successful approach when God assured us in His Word that when we pray, we know He hears and will answer. Faith and preparation are key in my opinion and not necessarily on the approach because I've heard lots of testimonies even in church where a man or woman met their spouses while running daily errands like shopping at the grocery store for example. I believe God is the master of time, arrangement and serendipity. He is the master matchmaker. So your teaching is a bit misaligned with the word of God and based more on worldly perspectives. I'd say to those who would jump to No. 3 without prayer - prayer is the foundation of it all. Better pray before you step out.

I think it is different for each person. Every time I try to put feet to my faith, God tells me very clearly to not take things into my own hands. I should not force his hand but have faith in Him and His plan. I even thought I found my earthly love, even for the right reasons, however, God clearly told me she is not the one. I protested, but you guessed, God won. Some may be called to use active methods of dating, there is nothing wrong with online dating if applied in a Biblical way, but follow the leading of the Spirit. I think this is the fine line between random and natural pastor Mark is speaking of. The Spirit will prompt you and lead you to do The Father's will. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." -Isaiah 30:21

Random and natural approach didn't worked for me.. So I tried joining a facebook christian dating group... Yes... I have intention of knowing a Christian that can hopefully be the one God has in mind... But I think the natural approach was also done here coz I didn't intentionally added someone I saw in the dating group but he added me first in fb after I reacted to his post on the group (not even a comment was written.. Just a wow reaction) not even thinking that we could start a wonderful friendship... And now we connect with each other everyday... And enriching our friendship... God told me to marry a guy who is not a Christian. He is a Muslim. Then as I know him better he really want to know more and believe God.

I certainly do agree with you on that last part....I've been very guilty of thinking that if it doesn't happen completely randomly, then it wouldn't seem like God is ordaining it. I've been recently coming to grips that this is not exactly the case, but it's taken its toll on me in the past. There are so many theories of what to do about this, and I've heard so many different opinions, some people have said....don't look for it, then others say be proactive. It's just extremely confusing for me.
