Love the format as a one stop shop for hybrid. Excited to see this same setup for the elongated and wide body padded you’ve tried

Great deep dive and comparison of these hybrids! I’ve been playing DBD for 6 months and loved it. This past week I switched over to the Shapeshifter (fantastic paddle!). The DBD needed weight at 4 and 8 o’clock to dampen the vibrations and increase the TW. I experimented with weight on the Shapeshifter, but I think it plays better stock.
@AllDriveNoDropPickleballАй бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, it seems Chorus hit a home run with the Shapeshifter they just need to get the production running to keep up with demand.
@markwenstrom3778Ай бұрын
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball couldn’t agree more! I was considering most of the paddles in this video. Demoed a Ruby but found the lack of pop was just too different from the DBD I was used too. Shapeshifter was a very easy transition. Also highly considered the Thrive Azul. Wouldn’t mind adding one of their paddles to the collection in the future.

Great question, I think they have just not released anything in almost a year so we haven’t seen them in the spotlight lately. As for me I just can’t get all the paddles but CRBN is on the radar for their next release.

I didn't manage to get the J2K during the initial pre-order because it was sold out but I grab the J2K Pro. I'm happy with it but I wish I had a chance to try the J2K. I tried the Ruby and like that but I am glad I waited till a cheaper option like the J2Ks came along.

Thank you so much for these comparisons. I've been curious about the Neonic Flow. The power and pop numbers you put up are much better than I expected. More pop than J2K? Even if the same level of pop, it makes me want to pick up the Flow! ps: totally agree, J2K plays perfect in stock form! 😊
@AllDriveNoDropPickleballАй бұрын
I think they are pretty similar with the flow edging it out. With paddles that are close together in numbers it will be different for different people just based on human error in testing.

Would there be someway to work out pop from a controlled drop test? As in get a hopefully clear tube of x amount of length like 5 to 6 foot. With a release mechanism. Then you can use that to find the sweet spot and then test the pop (or return of energy) without the human factor?
@AllDriveNoDropPickleballАй бұрын
Good idea, I could experiment with it. Definitely the one test that seems like we could figure out a better way.

@AllDriveNoDropPickleball Did you place lead on it? I was going to order one but they only have them in 8.3 ounces. I like an 8.5 ounce paddle so after an overgrip there was no room leftover for lead. I wanted an 8.1 paddle but they have none. I thought this was odd because I thought the listed weight range was 8.1 - 8.2
