Yes you can, I personally did when practicing the fundemental questions (not learning but practicing after learning), however if you can I would recommend quitting music in general, as it is bad for focus long term, it build reliance on music where even basic tasks u need music to oeprate.

"You are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with". If your friends are bums, in a long enough time fram, you will become a bum. My biggest advice would be leaving them behind if you genuinely think that they are holding you down. But I also understand you need a social life. First would be to try to find friends that share the same values as you, otherwise just ignore what they think, becuase at the end of the day, we play a single player game. And if you dont get 7 in the end, that is all it will say in the report card, not "because i was afraid my friend will laugh at me, I didnt ask questions" No excuses.
