I've always wonder why Roman and Shiv would want to take over. Throughout the series they never show real interest to take the company into new heights, they never talk about their big plan to turn the company around besides Ken he always brings up how Logan was destroying the company running it to the ground and based off the stock in season 3 it seems he was right. It was also Matsson leverage when he was negotiating with Logan "You can't become a tech player". Ken has been the only one with the grand vision to turn it around.

It was underlined. Why not black it out completely? It literally starts as a underline but people over 80 don’t usually have the best motor skills so he fucked it up. Logan was never going to have his empire go outside his own blood due to his ideals, and the other two siblings never quite had his respect while Kendall kept trying to battle him. Logan respected that deep down. He knew his health was in the toilet at that point, it was 100% a underline.

After the finale the line was the perfect representation of kendall. Starts off his attempts to become ceo with victory almost secured but forks everything by the end. Everytime.

I love how this piece of paper situation turns out on the screen. Kudos to the writer. It represents the history, narrative whatever it means. It illustrated the meaning of the interpretation of this small piece by different people. Many interpreted the piece as irrelevant and many also interpreted it as relevant. Many also interpreted the line as an underline or as a crossing out. However, every interpretation could be true or each interpreter could believe what they thought was the truth because the only one who knows what is really the real truth was the writer(Logan) who was dead and also he was the history(the past) itself. If you are a fan of the show you would know the thought behind every character's interpretation. Kendall really believes he was the chosen one(as from the first season) Karl wanted to flush it into the toilet or wanted to make the piece irrelevant(he was a coward and doesn't want the kid) same as Shiv(she was traumatized that it could really be Kendall, so she interpreted it as irrelevant and also the line was a crossed out) Frank and Roman were the best interpreters for me and the most pragmatic, they are moderate. (Frank talks about the tax suggestions for example) In the end, I believe they think the paper and line are not that relevant right now. Logan was dead, and yes, we mourn him but the leadership of the company should be a vote and brainstorming, and definitely not based on the paper of a god's know what it is.

These scenes are all so much funnier when rewatching a year later. Especially Kendall blatantly trying to hide his excitement and desperation. Particularly at 2:07.

So maybe I’m missing something here. But… does anyone else think that the paper Frank and Karl found is different from the one they pulled from the safe? It seems, to me, like the paper Karl and Frank and Gerri reacted to was going to make Kerry the CEO or something dumb like that. That’s why Karl was like “what if something happened to it?” And then when Gerri comes in they agree to pull out a dated document from four years ago that give Kendall the CEO position instead. I might be wrong, but I genuinely don’t think they would have had the same reaction they did to a paper that had Kendall and Greg scribbled down, I think Kerry is the “princess” they were talking about.

There's no way that evil old bastard wanted Ken to succeed him. He never respected him but especially towards the end because Ken found a backbone

If I was in Gerrys position sense the family has no longer majority voting power I’d suggest to find a real CEO someone with real experience. It would actually make a lot more sense if he crossed out Kendall's name instead of underlining it. There's really no purpose to underlining it, whereas Ken had given PLENTY of motivation to cross out his name and doing so definitely fits Logan's character
