A new mission, a new foe, and introducing an untested and unprepared crew of cadets who are tasked with saving the ship and all that call her home. This final installment of the USS Defiant (NCC-1764) missions brings back the crew from the Spacegate Station Star Trek Trilogy and provides the closing chapter to the legacy of the Defiant. This program is intended to be used as a resource to engage students, ignite their imagination, and foster their interest in the future of space exploration. The content of this program was aligned to conform with the fictional universe of Star Trek the original series and follows the standards outlined by CBS Studios and Paramount Pictures for a “Star Trek Fan Film".

Inside the ship was our video editor. The exterior ship animations were video clips that we were given access to by multiple Star Trek fans from the TOS community.

I did one of these called "Dangerous Galaxy" where all but one of the adult crew faints, leaving a young ensign named Sheila Gordon in charge of a ship full of cadets.

OK, when I first saw this I said another boring fan film but was I wrong! This was the most fascinating story I have ever seen on a Star Trek Series! I especially liked the Klingon Captain AND the extra ending piece. So we'll written, acting was actually good. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give this 20+ A++++ Loved It!

Unfortunately, our entire budget went to renting the studio. Everything else was either donated or purchased by the participants. You can only do what you can do.

The person on the bridge that I believe you are referring to was a CSO Senior Cadet (same outfit as the other CSO's but in gold). The explanation was cut during editing.

Unfortunately, we could not find any guidance in Star Trek TOS history regarding cadet uniforms so we just had to make due.

No, we payed to use this set. The set facility is called the Neutral Zone and is located in Kingsland, Georgia. It is a faithful recreation of the original Star Trek TOS set. The rental was the majority of our budget.

No, it was one price for the whole day. We rented it for three days and they charge $700 a day.

The rental fee provides for a on-site manager, and a lighting technician to support the production.
