After 38 overs Pak were 274/4 needing 96 of 72 balls and Aussies were 3 over behind also in timer it was clear tactical error on Pakistan's part to take on Zampa who had just 2 overs remaining, Iftikhar had taken pat Cummins for 2 sixes in previous over and starc was struggling for rhythm they could have played out zampa and attack the 3 quicks and taken the game deep to 48 to 50 overs just basic game awareness which was missing just a constructive criticism.

As an Indian what I noticed that the main difference was that Australian players know that what to do in this pitch due to ipl that its a six hitting ground rather than finding boundaries and wasting ball on it…it was completely pak’s team management duty to tell the players or inform them about the identity of the pitch.

Wasim bhai is such a legend and humble player I remember I met him in 2010 while he was having press conference, on my request I ask him to capture one picture with me and gave mobile to my friend to capture picture, the friend fumbled and couldn't capture the picture and I was asking to be quick but he wasn't managing it. Wasim bhai calmn me down and said "Koi baat nhe yara araam se capture kro no rush" he is truly a Gem. Love from Karachi.

The fact that Mr Alam probed Misbah to point out something specific about the collapse despite the dew, while pointing out that Misbah has been rather generic, it's not only something that's missing in Indian cricket coverage, but across the world. While a lot of sports anchors would just lap up generic perspectives (looking at you Cricbuzz anchors), Alam made it a point to have Misbah share specificities to the laymen and viewers. Kudos.. This is what Indian sports media coverage needs.

I don't understand why the whole panel always critise everyone but Babar. My respect for Wasim Bhai had reduced in recent times, until I heard his stern but brutally honest review on Pak teams intentions today. He is not the only person saying this, but Andul Razzaq, Imad Wasim, Amir, and plenty of other viewers have raised these concerns. I was amongst the first who saw this and wanted change in Pakistani team immediately. Unfortunately, despite humiliating losses in world cups, champions trophy, and Asia cup, no change in attitude and selection occured. It is all about selfish individual stats in current Misbah/Babar 11 and almost zero emphasis on winning games for the country as a team. Even the national team selection has been done on selfishness. The top 4 batsmen in domestic cup along with other power hitters such as Usman who has the fastest hundred record in Pakistan, etc. have been kept far far away from the Babar 11 for years. So many exceptionally talented match winners from Pakistan have been forced to go abroad simply because they haven't been given the opportunity and respect they deserved. For just one year make winning matches your sincere priority and see how high our team flies. Salute to Wasim Bhai finally for pointing out selfish approach out loud!

Teams are applying a theory that attacking Pakistan Pace bowlers from the start is the best form of defense. The attacking mode of Kushal Mendis, Rohit Sharma, David Warner and Mitchel Marsh. No doubt pakistan pacers are very fast but teams may be thinking that using that extra pace in the first power play is more counter productive. Maybe pakistan need to tone down some pace and apply spinner in the power play too.

Warner and Marsh collectively scored 284 runs. Third highest score was 25 extras. Which means their remaining 8 batters barely got 60 runs on the board. Highly concerning for Aussies!! Pak on the flipside had timid approach from ball one. World class bowlers with no brains or variation. Except few names no one had a plan to cross the line, particularly Babar who never leads from the front. So, both teams of today have very slim chances of qualifying to semis unless there are more upsets on the horizon.

I have seen this match very carefully. I feel both team were equally weak in terms of Bowling, fielding and very fragile middle order. The difference was in terms of who batted first and then how many runs at least one player contributed since Aussies has two century maker where as Pak has none. If any one or two would have made a century from Pakistan then it could have been a different scenario. This can't be Australia which is known for supremacy and have been seeing Pak from 90's can only sing Jane Kahan gaye wo Sarjah ke din jab Hum Indians rote the ki ye log itna accha kyun khelte hain. 2011, we win WC with latt patt types but this time we will be winning with Supremacy since this Indian team is looking very much like SriLankan team in WC1996 as hungry, fierce, complete and confident.

They are saying if aus were batting second then warner, marsh wouldn't have scored 100s..this is the worst reason, Devon convey scored 150plus after doing 50 ovr wicket keeping, KL also same against aus, also Virat n rohit.. rizwan and shafiq also chased down 345 aftr 50 ovr fielding..so batting 1st is not reason, banglore is chasing ground so batting 2nd is good decision, it is totally game awareness n intent from pak which lacks...

Malik's game analysis were spot on but maxwell is not an easy bowler. He bowls regularly. He took 4 wickets against india in the home series which happened last month. Also in ipl he has taken many crucial wickets.

Watched the game live yesterday in Bengaluru sitting just below the Hawkeye camera- This is such a talented bunch of Pak cricketers - Saud, Shafique, Babar, Afridi, Ifthikar..all played with great flair compared to the Aussies who were just using brute power..truly a cricket connoisseurs delight- but these were the main differences that cost them the game: 1. Mental toughness - big match temperament- will come with better exposure 2. Ability to adapt to conditions - playing straight rather than across the line, pace bowlers should have gone for variations rather than raw pace - learn from Bumrah.! 3. Team spirit - on the field demeanours - play with a smile , encourage each other, bring positive vibes, energy, learn to relax - Rizwan was trying.. but need others to chip in- learn from Kohli or Pat or Van der Merve!..

Chasing 360+ if openers played 120 balls between them and made 120 runs then the game was lost there and then. It's as simple as that.

Sometimes in sub-continental teams the Player becomes bigger than the game and above criticism. We should always put the game first and then the player. I hope this is the last generation of players who are considered above the game and the future players always focus on winning than personal milestones!!!

In this WC, the last 15 overs have been the toughest to play. Except for the SA and SL match, we saw run scoring at death was hard compared to start. Teams need to accept that 8-9 run rate at end would be mammoth task and should play fast early on. That’s where the openers let the team down. Their runs will look good on scorecard but they played the easiest part of batting at run a ball and left a lot for others.

In 2day's match Shaheen Afridi has taken 5 wickets, but not in the initial overs. We all know that how good the openers of Aussie's given the start.
