It's amazing to see Allison Janney at 63 constantly working & doing amazing work, considering how she was unemployed and out of work her entire 20s and 30s and finding a career breakthrough in her 40s and since than there's no stopping for this woman. first Lou & now this, the lady is killing 2022

Interesting!!! Ok random question bc I’m a loser haha. Anyways, Annie Murphy was originally slated for the role that Kristen Bell ended up playing. The cast had been set and was even on IMDb but I guess there were scheduling conflicts bc Annie had her tv show. SO-in your opinion which of the 2 (Annie or Kristen) do you think is a better fit for that character? I’m totally just curious and I love them both-equally talented but the way they insert humor into their lives is super different!

I'm not actually familiar with Annie Murphy as an actress (gasp, I know), but from looking at her, she seems to look more like a biological relation of Ben and Allison Janney than Kristen does, as well as being closer to the right age. But of course, appearance isn't everything, and it does look like Kristen is going to smash the role. I'm really just here for Ben more than anything else lol.

it's cause they are perfect streaming movies - you don't need special effects of 4K IMAX visuals to enjoy romcoms. when they do put them in cinemas first, they tend to flop, just look at what happened to bros

Ahhh I literally LOVE Kristen bell and absolutely thing she’s so so talented-I’m just sad that Annie Murphy (alexis of shitts creek!) was replaced due to scheduling conflicts😩 For some reason the combo of Annie and Ben as the failure kids (I believe that’s the premise?) with Allison as their mom😂 Maybe it’s just the hair color/texture but I was thinking that they’d easily make a believable family. HOWEVER-because she had to be replaced, even if I were given the choice for a replacement I’d go with Kristen!!

Currently half way through this movie. it does seem to be very haphazardly put together. There are some poor casting choices, the stories are all over the place. Even the soundtrack is lackluster. There is an offensive gay storyline/characters that is just one trope after the other. I ❤ Kristen and Alison so much but this movie seems to be a messy. Not sure what I was expecting but… yeah it is hard work!
