It’s also relatively budget friendly tbh. You can get away without playing the duals since a lot of multicolor lands are decently cheap rn too. And edric just draws so much that you’re probably not gonna miss land drops. Plus you can cut the fast mana for cheap dorks too (Keep in mind if your meta is proxy friendly then throw the budget stuff out the window)

I built this deck 4-5 yrs ago and it still stands up to current meta. It's a great build for both beginners and experienced players. (expcially being experienced cedh player don't get to swing as often lol)

Yuriko is a way better commander for newer players, with access to the easiest combo win and a simple draw engine in the command zone. Edric gives draw to opponents, wins through a grindy infinite extra turns combo that requires patience and focus to win.

This is a perfect pick, I really think if you are on a budget the best thing you can do is look to previous years top cards because they are usually still very strong, once meta warping, and you can buy these old staples for so cheap, and can be upgraded as you go very easily

I just built Edric but more of a tribal deck. I am not a fan of cEDH but the deck I built is more on a budget and it actually is quite fun.

I do enjoy and recommend this deck.

I would argue yuriko is probably just the better version for the same play style. The biggest difference being that yuriko doesn’t draw your opponents cards

I personally like a neheb the eternal Stax list I’ve been developing. It’s also a fairly straightforward list without a lot of complex tutors. Basically shuts off anyone else’s mana and plays splash spells that kill quickly. Not top tier, but damn fun!
