The tow rating reduction is also because they couldnt add the additional cross member in the rear to support the frame twist under towing due to the exhaust taking up too much room. The raptor bronco has that cross member there, and that allows is the higher rating 🤙

I remember that you considered canceling the order due to Ford delays. Very glad you waited. This is a perfect off-road explorer for you as well as a daily driver. No doubt Pokie will look great 15 years from now in your care.

I love the "Bronquito" moniker. We had a 2006 Ford Escape with a non-EcoBoost 2.3L V4 under the hood, which I understand is the ancestor to the engine you have. Hopefully the family tree carried over, because our 2.3L was a super reliable beast, even without the turbos. The only reason we don't still have that Escape is some Hyundai Santa Fe decided to try to kill my wife, and the insurance company totaled it. At least the Hyundai wasn't successful -- in fact, the roll cage held up surprisingly well. Wife got away with bumps and bruises.
@theangrymarmot8336
@theangrymarmot8336 2 жыл бұрын
Just for some clarification - it isn't a "V4" but an "I4" er inline. Ford hasn't made a "V4" since the 60s!

Yes, insurance companies lean towards totalling cars, even if the paint matching cost is the, only issue. The escape alternator change is, ridiculously, difficult. They are durable enough to last a while for young people and they drive, aggressively. 👌

I would watch 10 min at least of just different angles of you driving over bumps and hills and ruts in crawl mode. Up the hill. Down the hill. Maybe 20 min. Seeing suspension articulation makes us happy and proud.

Happy Friday Eve Sarah!!! For a Bronco, yes, 2dr is the only way to go, because heritage. But I do love my school bus, 4dr JK, more room for cooler with cold snacks and regular snacks, seems more planted in extreme rock crawling situations. I had an 87 full-size Bronco back in the mid 90s and loved how it turned on a frickin dime. Your Bronco is rad!! Stay excellent!!!😎

I ended up finding my perfect one owner 2021 F-150 XL STX 4x4 5.0 V8 SuperCab (not SuperCrew) in Lead Foot Gray (the exact color I wanted, which has since been discontinued) I absolutely love it so far. Great rig. Totally agree about size of your Branco. I rock crawl a 1940's Willy on 35's with a 4.3 vortec with manual 4 speed with Dana 44's and Detroit lockes. It's open top and wheel year round in PNW. It's so nimble in the tight trees and technical rock gardens. I love your taste in vehicles and BMX bikes...I raced a PK Ripper in the 90's.

My grandma used to have a Wrangler and a 5th gen Bronco when i was a little kid. I remember the one ride in the bronco and basically fell in love. It was a beautiful two tone turquoise and white Eddie Bauer trim bronco. Her jeep was a brown soft-top YJ 5-speed jeep. Because of her jeep, that is the only generation of 2 door Wrangler that I actually like.
