A little side video for today as I continue to work on more train adventures for y'all! I was at the airport earlier this morning, first time here since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and was able to get a ride on the Plane Train. With CDC guidelines, the Atlanta Airport has enforced a lot of changes for travelers, such as social distancing, wearing a mask, and airport and airline staff continuing to sanitize easily touchable places. As my dad and I were leaving, I got a quick little video of the Plane Train traveling from Concourse B to the Domestic Baggage Claim. I'm glad to see people are traveling "safely" during this pandemic, but it's amazing to see almost no one at the busiest airport in the world!

That is so sad to see the Busiest Airport in the world like that. Atlanta is my favorite place in the world and I hope it will be back to normal soon.

It is, I recently travelled two days ago, and spent 4 hours at the airport, it’s back to busy, when I landed, 6 other planes where in a line behind us.

I wonder why the doors can't sync with each other. Why not lock the train doors with the airport doors, and when it's time to go, close it and unlock it.

What are those emergency phones placed for in the tunnel that the train travels through? Hypothetically speaking if the train got stuck, would the doors be able to be opened to reach one of those phones to get assistance?

Yes, those phones are direct lines to the APM control center, for use in emergency situations. To the left of the tracks is a concrete walkway, which can be used to evacuate the train in an emergency. There are emergency exit doors (which you can see when the train pulls in to each station) that are used in these situations.
