Every day, we are faced with a choice on how to live out each moment. Choosing gratefulness has the capacity to alter the trajectory of our lives. This can lead us to mental breakthroughs, bring joy, and triumph over our anxiety and depression - we are verified by it.
Tye Dutcher is not your average swimmer. He propelled himself into the USA Paralympic Team after having a phenomenal performance at the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials. When he’s not serving his country on the National Team, he is serving his community as a Dutch Bros Barista in Phoenix. He is currently training for the 2021 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
Tye Dutcher is a Rio 2016 Paralympic swimmer for Team USA that is training for the Tokyo 2021 Games, an amputee that lost his right foot in a traumatic accident at a young age, and a realistic motivational speaker. I am saved by my faith in Jesus Christ and desire to continually serve, encourage, and inspire others through my life. In short, if I can inspire at least one person, then I know I have achieved success. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

The ending really moved me. I believe that he knows he is talking about, he felt a shift when he chose a gratitude mindset and found the scientific evidence to back it up. It meant so much to him to give a talk about it because it’s something he believes in. I hope to be at this level. I’m think it’s going to be a journey but I hope to get there. Can’t wait to see where it takes me!

You’re right, well at least 1/2 right. He wasn’t fine with it. He said it took practice and commitment and an unbreakable connection with God. He chose a higher order response to disaster. Apparently, one he’s learned a lot from and is now sharing with the masses. Being a critical cynic is easy and honestly, unimaginative. I hope his message brushes off on you. Try thinking deeper and see what comes out. ✌🏻
