A couple fun facts, the Eclipse spider was originally going to be green, but Tyreese said no and designed it himself, and Sukis S2k was gonna be a MR2 Spider, you can actually see the spiders they had made in the warehouse scramble scene.

For that Mitsubishi Eclipse, it was originally blue with yellow and gray interior and spider web vinyl and 16 inch mag wheels. Tyrese "freaked-out" when he learned that it would be his car. He "redesigned" the car and turned out they it looked like in the movie. About the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, they didn't converted it to rear wheel drive. They simply changed the bias of the 4 wheel drive system making it 10% of the power from the engine does to the front wheels and the rest to the rears. On the RX7 FD, it's the same RX7 that they used in thw first movie. A lot of the cars from the first movie were refurbished to be used in the second movie. The heist civics, the eclipses, s14s, integras, they were refurbished to be used again. On the Corvette, there was a scene where in it collided with the smashed Saleen. That part looked so real because it was a real accident. The collision of the two cars were not part of the script. But the director said to leave it as part of the movie to make the part even more cool to have a highway collision between 2 cars during the "audition" in the movie. On the Saleen, it wasn't a real Saleen. The car that was smashed by the trailer was just a regular Mustang fitted with Saleen bodykits. On the Viper, that car wasn't available in Florida. When they got it the car was red. They had to repaint it yellow, filmed a few scenes with the car, repainted it back red and returned the car back to Dodge. Most of the cars used were rented feom their owners or from dealerships. They returned it back after filming. This info was shared by Craig Lieberman in his channel. Also if you have the DVD of the 2Fast 2Furious that had a bunch of extra contents like the short film between the first and second movie, how to customize an import tuner car, the short interviews on Paul Walker, Tyrese, and Devon Aoki as well as a short walkthrough on their cars, and a commentary subtitle wherein every scene that had a story behind its making was explained, the movie is best explained in that DVD. I know about it because I have one which was bought in California.

You forgot the trucks and all the cars in the garage scene where mostly free because there where random people who got asked to come to the set. Honestly I think the went to a car meet and got people there to go. I forgot but it was on the extended cut of the movie with the behind the scenes stuff

The EVO is an EVO7 not an 8. EVO 1-7 was exclusively available in Japan only. Only EVO 8 and higher were in the US.

I’ve seen my first Supra mk4 and 3 r34’s and I’m downloading every app that has a Supra just for the fun of it

You could argue about how the cars look all day long, but 2 Fast 2 Furious had the best selection of cars in the entire franchise in terms of their status as legends. The Eclipse is really the only outlier here. Every other car is well respected in their respective domestic markets.

Loves me a supra, the skyline also holds a place in my heart. Although the 3rd gen is cool, I prefer to stay away from rotary engines
