From Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, produced by the Ballet Company of the Mariinsky Theater, with Larissa Lezhnina as Clara (Masha?), and, it would seem, the Sugarplum Fairy as well, and Victor Baranov as the Prince.

There is no Christmas mood without Tchaikovsky´s Nutcracker. Hearing this music makes you taste the gingerbread and sugar canes, smell the punch and christmas tree.

This and the piece from arabian dance seem to me two of the most beautiful music pieces. They have such depht, mistery, grace and sensibility. I wish I could dance to it.

В детстве мультфильм "Щелкунчик" просто прибил меня к креслу в кинотеатре. Никогда, ни до, ни после не видел ничего, так сливавшегося с музыкой в одно целое, захватывающего тебя целиком...

As I'm sure is the case with many people, I only know the very famous pieces from the Nutcracker like the Russian Dance and the Dance of the Mirlitons. So when listening to those on youtube I stumbled across this piece. I really don't know why it isn't more famous, it is fantastic.

From a musician's POV (cellist), I absolutely despise the Nutcracker Suite, I really, really do (one of the most boring pieces I ever had to play in orchestra!). But when I see such talented dances dance like this to the music, it makes me fall in love with it again. Still will not opt to play it, but I can watch the ballet any day!

If i could dance like that, I think my life would be fulfilled in every way. I could never take dance where we lived, and now that we live in the united states, it's hard to find schools that will let me in. *sigh*

@xSkylaN627x you should still take it up.... my scoliosis presented after i stopped ballet for a year... i went straight back to ballet after i was diagnosed and ballet was a perfect therapy for it.... it does stop you from being extremely advanced but it helps so much.... you should definitely take it up...

This is so beautiful! but gosh, I would never be able to make my body dance like the sugarplum fairy! or any ballerina for that matter, that's why I like ballet. it's something that I always had an interest in, but won't be able to do. *Sigh* It's so beautiful!!!!

@xSkylaN627x No one is "prone" to scoliosis. Either u have it , or u don't, because it is a hereditary disease. i have scoliosis in my lower back, and i can still ride roller coasters, so ballet isnt going 2 affect ur scholiosis, except 2 help it ease some.
