Wanna know what i LOVE about physical school fights? If you fight in defense; you get punished. If you are a bystander who does nothing, you get punished. If you intervene in the fight to stop the violence; punished. You for whatever reason have to leave the fighters and go get a teacher to not be punished. Gotta love it.

This school is one of my favorites for Principal's Office. (Even though, the one in Connecticut is the best. :P) But I love their southern accents, and the principal and students always show each other equal respect.

@tonyrueb I agree: on-campus suspension at the least. The schools up in the Northeast (several of them on The Principal's Office) would likely call the police. Back in the dark ages, it would have been five licks with a paddle and back to class.

I am in grade 7, I got ISS 'in school suspension' three weeks ago for 1 day because I smashed this kid's head against the wall because he was making fun of me in the change room. I would've gotten out of school suspension but if I wasn't being teased. That kid is really fucking annoying to me!!

I have no problem with two people fighting to solve their problem, but doing it in the middle of a crowded hall, where others are endangered, and the flow disrupted, might not have been the wisest thing to do.

If this was my high school, this is how the discipline for fighting progresses: 1st: 2 days ISS/5 days out-of-school suspension or 3 days ISS or OSS, referral to the district alternative to suspension program, or the district alternative program, in addition to an anger management program and referral to the court system and SRO. For instigating or contributing, it is 2 days ISS or 3-5 days ISS or the same 3 days ISS or suspension with anger management and referral to court system and SRO. 2nd: Suspension 5 days ISS or suspension or 5 days suspension/10 days ISS or referral to district alternative program and referral to the court system and SRO notification. Instigating carries the same punishment or 3 days ISS, with the same court system referral and SRO notification. 3rd: 5 days OSS, and/or automatic referral to the district alternative program (minimum of 20 days) along with referral to SRO and court system. Instigating also carries the same punishment or 4 days ISS, and SRO notification is required, along with a possible referral to the Board of Education. 4th: Automatic referral to district alternative program, SRO and court system notified, and indefinite suspension pending board of education hearing. Instigating carries either same punishment or 5 days ISS with notification of SRO required. The two-level punishments for instigating are there in order for school administrators to use their judgment when doling out punishment for students involved in a fight as to their role before handing out punishment.

I have to say that lunch detention rather than suspending the student is a good idea. I live in PPS were many students, especially those of color are suspended all the time. In fact PPS just got fined for that. If they can do things like lunch detention instead, it will still send a message that fighting is bad, but it keeps them in school rather than having them out of school.

I was reading some of these comments and they are pretty funny. This was my high school and my senior year this was filmed. Coach Lamb was an amazing, fair and genuine prinicpal. This show was completely fake..all of the videos were set up and made to seem way worse and made our school look like a super hillbilly school. No rode horses or wore spurs for real. It’s just a reality show. BUT if you messed up good you would def be in trouble. But all this show was fake.
