Class period suspension would be idealistic for some students. For example a student disrespects teachers, fellow classmates, and others around them. Even if there is a threat, a student should be suspended from his or her 1st, or 5th period for example for a week to four weeks, just from her class.

There is probably a better to suspend students when they are being disrespectful to staff members or disruptive: If it happened in her classroom, my suggestion is suspend him that teacher's class period and still attend his other classes. Suspended from his 5th or 1st period classes for about 5 days. In-School Suspension need's to change guidelines and I my suggestion would be very effective compared to it's guidelines today. In-School Suspension could be turned into class period suspension such as being suspended or kicked out of class from 1st Period for 5 to 10 days instead spending the entire whole day in ISS.

This reminds me of an incident I witnessed in 8th grade. This was over 40 years ago, late 70's. A problem student in science class wrote on the chalkboard "Mrs. Jones sucks!" He was found out quickly, and our teacher handled the matter herself. She informed him immediately she was gonna bust his butt, and took him straight to the office to whip him herself! 😂😂😂 I don't think she even wrote an infraction first! I guess discipline problems got worse when most schools stopped spanking students who needed it!

If a student is disrespectful to ANY teacher, substitutes included, in the manner that this child was to this teacher, it should be an automatic suspension. End of discussion.

My name is Zach Curtis and I'm 28 years old and I have Autism and I respected my teachers when I was in High School i never threatened any of my teachers at FHS Fishers High School or disrespected my teachers and I knew if I was disruptive or disrespectful I would be sent to the office if I did something wrong my teachers and the dean called my parents especially my Mom & Mother and I never thought when I was in school to threaten any of my teachers or an teacher or disrespect them I never even said girl or I referred to them as my teachers and substitute teachers
