@shirlspark_stardust; Show me one single proof that the Jesus mentioned in the New Testament Ever existed outside of the Christian Bible ? you would think that a cult leader who was the Bob Marley of his era, Who according to Matthew 4 : 24--25, who's fame went throughout the entire region, who drew crowds, and inspired his devoted followers and was executed on the orders of a Roman governor, Such a person if he indeed existed would leave some indentation in the Contemporary historical records, The Gospels makes it clear that throughout his career Jesus was the rock star of first-century Judea, We are told that he went throughout the region performing miracles, healing the sick and casting out demons, and that he and his entourage were followed by great multitudes of people ? So, Why don't we know the Actual date that Jesus was born, Or the actual date ( or the year ) that he allegedly died ? if he was a real person, walking on earth as we're led to believe, Why is there no historical records of him ? Do some research And tell me if you can find him in the historical records ?

So if rastafari roots is in Garvey (who believed and followed God and The Bible) then the foundation/roots of rastafari are God and The Bible. Haile Selassie also believed in the Bible, Jesus Christ, Christianity. So if you’re following him as Messiah he’s teachings point to the Bible. He also seemingly denied his position as Messiah in an interview. The problem is man can’t choose, it is up to The Most High Creator to appoint and anoint people in positions. Rastafari is not the root, it’s a branch of the Bible just like many other man made religions. It wasn’t around during the beginning of the earth and is less than 100 years old.
