Nice vid. When I started playing, probably in middle school, none of us knew anything about it. We would all take turns running adventures for each other so, the concept of a group having one person as the DM all the time is something I've learned later in life, and still doesn't feel quite natural even though I know that's the norm. I generally think having new players DM early is great. I usually encourage it after having played in two or three sessions. Sometimes if you wait too long the expectations get high and it gets intimidating.

Yo that’s real! I have always played and DM’d but it’s mostly been one DM in each group. I like the idea of getting new players to run a game, it would be fun and yeah take away some of the fear of failure. I started just doing short adventures here and there. It was fun. I’ve found a lot of players these days expect to play a character for 10+ levels. Which is nice but leaves less time for more character and adventure ideas.
