If you're interested in solo play, but don't want to use AI, I suggest Mythic GM emulator. You have creative input, and final say, but still the unexpected turns more common to the D&D experience

Oh I agree. It’s much better at monologues, loot generation, dungeon help, npcs the whole 9 of dm support. Narratives are just more entertaining for video content.

Oh all the time. I’m using 3.5 for this campaign but future campaigns will be on 4. George Lakkas mad a great summary prompt that can be used to help GPTDM remember what’s happened so far. I’ll see if I can copy and paste it here since it’s a comment on the “GPT Save My Game” video. It has memory issues and usually I’ll summarize the things it’s forgetting. 4 is better but not perfect and yeah 25 prompts in 3 hours is not too fun if you are trying to play a game.

Here is the summery prompt from the aforementioned commenter: 1.Begin the recap with an introduction to the session's main story arc or objective to provide context. 2.Detail the key events and encounters that occurred during the session, creating a chronological account of the gameplay. 3.Emphasize significant character interactions, showcasing how player characters and NPCs influenced the story. 4.Analyze the important decisions made by players, describing their impact on the game and the consequences that followed. 5.Conclude the recap by summarizing the session's outcome and highlighting any cliffhangers or unresolved plot threads that may lead into future sessions."

@@TBLReady Great, thanks! I hope they make improvements to the memory, so already established instructions/important information can be kept better. A "priority memory" feature could probably fix a lot of the main issues, giving you the ability to designate certain things as things the AI should NEVER forget (story information, character stuff, instructions rules, etc.), but that's just a theory and it may be harder for the devs to implement than it seems. In the mean time, I'll make sure to use this to keep it on track.
