u got some wrong. in Leafwood Forest, the 3rd coin isn’t a free coin. If you collect all 3 small coins during the ship part before the last part where the 3rd coin is, THEN you get the coin. Also for the part that u said about the swing in Ocean Paradise Planet, it’s not a swing, it’s supposed to be a ship. That’s why it has the upside down and right side up portals. But you did good on explaining everything tho so and yes this fangame is buggy ngl to you. I was trying to rush and get this out before 2.2 and was lazy on coin ideas…. Thanks for reviewing my game!!!

Honestly a great breakdown, editing was super fun too. IMO the biggest flaw of Breeze is that while it has cool gameplay, it tries way too hard to be a RobTop level. Meanwhile Deeper Space just took note of how to make good "classic" gameplay but still went on to do its own thing. If you made a perfect RobTop-styled level it would just come off as boring because Rob is there to set the bar while others try and leap over it. Also in this vid I can't help but feel like you were overly hard on the first two games and much more biased towards Deeper Space because of its reputation. Would have loved to see more coverage of the other games because there's definitely some spots where they still shine. Keep in mind that these games are huge creative projects made for fun and they won't all be perfect - calling them a "problem" for the sake of attracting more hate-views definitely feels a bit disrespectful and discouraging to creators who just wanted to work on a cool project.

Fair enough. I was a bit harsher on the first two games due to the script being made before Deeper Space, but when it was released the script became very long and repetitive when I went in depth into the first two games, so the cut down version featured a lot more negative points in contrast. Although I do still think I had a lot more fun playing Deeper Space than I did Razorleaf or Breeze (mainly the later levels). As for the title, yeah it was definitely exaggerated but I was referring to the start of the video where I talked about stolen games like Razorleaf or Underwater. I don't think these fangames are a problem, I just think they could be a lot more polished (mainly in gameplay).

I’m glad you’re giving these well made fan games more attention! I do feel that you were a bit harsh on GD Breeze, though. The levels do a really good job at recreating RobTop's 2.2 style for the levels originally being made in 2.1, and I thought that levels like Bitsplosion and Peer Gynt were some of the best in the fan game. I do get your criticism on the levels taking a lot of inspiration from RobTop, though

@@Cobgd you need to check out "gd super world" by zapmaniac, it was made in 2.1 era, but it's still nice to play in 2.2. I've also made "gd deluxe" in 2021, it's technically first 2.2 fangame ever (before 2.2 lol). Deco may be look good, but gameplay is not xd. (There also gd blizzard, ultra and nukebound). So yeah, there are a lot more fangames than you expected xd

Now, all clarifications I'd really like to make: -GD Razorlear was good enough for its time. Also, the swingcopter in the game wasn't originally meant to be, and isn't even i the PC version. So now you know. -GD Breeze wasn't meant to have 2.2 themed levels, and I think it's noticeable. -Some say GD DeeperSpace is way too off compared to RobTop's levels. It depends on what you're looking at. As Manix mentioned, all creators put an extra spin on their own level. -I'd like to see reviews of more fangames if you don't mind, like GenaMorphosis' three fangames.

I really like deeper space (in fact it is the best fangame for me) in my opinion breeze is not a bad fangame, of course it can be improved, but I played the levels and they are entertaining, and a fangame that you could also highlight was gd nexitron, a fangame that has a unique formula, even so, excellent video.
