I don't know how anyone with a brain can blame Ten Hag in this situation. If Sancho hadn't responded, no one would have even noticed. This is after he was given 3 months break last year for his mental health, plenty of managers would have declined. Ten Hag didn't even make him a scapegoat.
@thedunyadoneya2628 8 ай бұрын
Is this a troll post? Blame the person responding instead of the person who made the initial comment 🙄. The 3 month break wasnt at sanchos request, eth made that call because he thought sancho would be brilliant and he'd be lauded as a great man-manager. Guess who got that wrong too?

In any other job if you got called into the managers office and the manager said “your performances aren’t up to scratch and you’re not putting in enough effort” and your response is “I am actually”, you’d be sacked on the spot. You’re essentially telling the manager that your best isn’t good enough. The fact he’s on £300k+ a week is disgusting, he’s achieved absolutely nothing in the game and has an incredibly high opinion of himself, not sure if Pep was the manager at the time but I remember him demanding to start for city back when he was 16. Guess that’s the difference between well run clubs and Manchester United, none of the top clubs wanted him at dortmund because you can bet they’d done their due diligence on the kid’s attitude and mentality.

Aside from Rashford (who's only ever known Utd life) I can't think of a Man Utd player post Fergie who doesn't wholeheartedly regret signing for Man Utd. Not even just "ahh whatever" I mean you can full on say they would do anything to go back in time and not sign and most have even outright said it. Baffled me how any youngster pre Sancho would choose Utd but now even with no other offer on the table no youngster should be choosing Utd over another club.

People use Sancho as a way to circle jerk the PL. ''Not good enough for the PL, was good enough for the Bundesliga.'' I think thats unfair to say. I wouldn't be surprised if mentality issues were a reason. Some players are just not built like the elite players that always stay hungry. I always say that there's different levels of mentality in football. Some players have enough mentality to make it out of the youth teams. Some players have enough mentality to break through into the first team. Some players have enough mentality to follow up on a good debut season. Some players have enough mentality to stay hungry to earn a big transfer with a big sum of money and are still mentally strong enough to keep their level of quality up at their new club. While others just get complacent, start earning a lot of money and the hunger disappears. Some maybe let the fame go to their heads. While some maybe can't handle the spotlight. I remember how Van der Vaart spoke about there being players in the Ajax Youth Academy with him that were levels above him in terms of raw talent. However, they never made it into the first team because they simply lacked the mentality for it. Van der Vaart did have that mentality. However, even with Van der Vaart, who had a great career, he still suffered from mentality issues himself because his fitness wasn't always up to par and also started having issues with his weight. With Sancho I really wouldn't be surprised if it was a mentality issue. Just look at him responding to his manager after his manager tries a classic way of motivating his player. By giving him a bit of critique in the media. Players with good mentality get annoyed and upset by that, but they keep it to themselves and then show their managers they are wrong by pulling off great performances. This has happened a lot before.

baffles me when people say shit like this, people say the same about pogba staying with Fergie, the reason they left was their attitude. There is no what if, Pep tried and Sancho's attitude failed hi. It's well documented Pep tried to keep him but he forced his way to Dortmund. Pep or Fergie or whatever can't hold their hand for 24 hours a day, if they have a bad attitude and morale it's going to come out wherever. A lot of players flopped at United over the recent years. I don't see anything wrong with what Sancho posted. If the coach and the whole media can slaughter him in public he has a right to defend himself.
@lifewhims4155 8 ай бұрын
It's frustrating that no one seems to be dissecting the wording of this and is just jumping onto Sancho V Ten Hag If you look at the wording of his tweet: "I have conducted myself very well in training", it comes off to me to be more that he's reacting to a question regarding his attitude and professionalism - which I believe he's wrongly misunderstood - while Ten Hag was referring to the relative form of players he placed ahead of him not his attitude or professionalism. I would gather that the media coverage questioning him about the mental holiday from the manager last season is enough for him to be abe bit touchy and defensive about any subsequent questions regarding his "attitude". Most likely, this was just a misunderstanding that will not be resolved as they can't understand each other's viewpoint and Sancho will go in January (if ETH remains manager) or we'll hear that it was resolved at the end of international break when they get back to training so MU can have some positive spin on the club in the midst of all the bullshit they've had lately.

I said it at the time: Picking Man United when Sancho picked Man United was all I needed to know about the guy to know he wasn't winning player. United were in utter shambles, and he had interests from clubs who were at the peak of world football at the time, yet it was very clear that he first and foremost cared about was his brand. The differences between him and Bellingham coming from very similar career trajectories is incredibly stark. Bellingham is a top professional and will be a success for club and country. It's the money...ManU paid him a world class player wage as soon as he signed. It's so easy for a young player of his age to relax after securing a 200k pounds a week.

We know Sancho is a great player. BUT at the moment he really looks like a Walmart version of Grealish.

That’s even worse when you realise Grealish is overrated
@pendafen7405 8 ай бұрын
@@jeevanjohal8984 exactly, Grealish is already overhyped. His go-to play is falling on the grass so the opposition get a good look at his (admittedly lovely) arse.

There so many players who are writing cheques their ego can’t cash. Sancho and Mudryk need to get out England now, both are incapable of performing on a football pitch for whatever reason. I think they are a waste of time.

How many top tier manager throw their players under the bus .if ten hag felt sancho wasn’t giving enough as he expected as a manager its ur job to handle that off the pitch . He slaughtered sancho on air , live . And sancho did the same and y’all are blaming him. More over the timing was wrong , you cant say that about someone who hasnt even taken part in a match u just lost .

Sancho has only performed at Dotmund, not UNited or England. Many players only do it at one clubs in their career.

Not to say we should start believing them given how they go about putting out their "defence" but when Ronaldo and Sancho are coming out with similar issues against the manager...... Well.... is the manager actually the problem all along?
@ANGELOFDARKification 8 ай бұрын
The difference is with Sancho you can see Ten Hag has actually tried though. He has played in different positions, systems because of the manager. On top of that how many managers would have given their highest earning player 3 months off during a jam packed season?

Its simple Half of the United players are not playing for the manager or the club they’re just playing for the pay check and it shows. When you play for the badge the club the fans and the manager the results automatically reflects because these players are not all bums but they’re playing like bums cus they really don’t care what happens.
@SkullSnax 8 ай бұрын
Personally, I don't think this is as much as it's been blown up to be. I don't think this is on the same level as the Kepa/Sarri incident, it's not even close to the Ronaldo/Ten Hag bust up. It seems to me like a player speaking their mind after being disgruntled at not playing, rather than him going after the manager. That being said, if Sancho thinks his current levels are good enough when he's the highest paid player in the team, he should think again. I don't think theres a single United fan who would side with Sancho over Ten Hag. And if he does end up going (as early as January some reports are saying) rather than fighting for his spot, thats such a disappointment because I've been waiting for Sancho to have a proper 9 to work with since he came in, I thought there might be an opportunity for him to show the creative ability he has which Rashford and Antony don't, and you might see him take one of their spots.

Take Wilfred Zaha and then zap all the Hunger, drive and pace out of him then you have Sancho.

Most players response is prepared by their agents or PR handlers, because simply they lack the intellect or education to respond, Sancho is no exceptions, so who's his agent?
