spot on mate, we as United fan have to stand up and forget our difference between all our fan channel and direct our focus on these clowns (ESPN/Talksport and most of the pundits ) to call them out. Worst even Garry and Keane fall in this. You will never ever sea Liverpool ex player crtisise his own team even when they were doing bad but Gary and Kene afraid to support United. Simnple last season VDD injured or season before that when he got injured, Klop finished out side of top 4, he even finished below the so called PE teacher Oli, but no media talked about it including Gary and Keane. Same for Gunners last season, they were top of the table until Saliba got injured, even City do not win anything when Rodri got injured. Even ESPN clows are saying Mactomny is far better footballer than Bruno. these English bias is over the moon.

The enemy is not within but on Talk Shi..port, ESPN, Sky, BBC, etc. These ex player pundits agenda is let’s slam United if we lose and let’s look for excuses for our opposition when we win. As far as 'content' , I believe you might be overlooking the local library. You could read any UK or European paper there. Agree totally on the fact that the EPL didn't come to American tv til '92. I learned to read from the subscription to the Manchester Evening News my Dad brought home from WWII.

We beat Liverpool on Sunday, so the response was that Liverpool was fatigued and didn't take their chances. The Press, rather than heap praise on United, told us that Ineos is having talks with Southgate, who, most United fans don't want him within 100 miles of Old Trafford. It seems that 2 ex-players, Roy Keane and Gary Neville, have said Southgate would be a good fit for United and current players are said to want Southgate (without naming them.). But a quick brain search tells you it would be current England players Rashford Maguire and Luke Shaw, who are easy to turn against. Divide and conquer. Apparently, Danny Murphy said United should go for Southgate, but when asked if Liverpool should, he remained silent. I've been supporting United since 1958, and it always seems to have been that way, though it seemed to have gone up 10 notches when Rupert Murdoch's Sun entered the fray. My personal response is never to buy a paper (I refuse to call them newspapers because that is not what they are). And I never criticise United publicly because opposition team supporters jump on it to crucify United. My answer is don't buy papers; I never watch any channel that openly knocks United, and while ex-Liverpool players are openly biased in favour of their team, United ex-players are biased against United to show other supporters how unbiased they are. They need to remember we supported them, so they should stick up for United now. I don't hate anybody, so please don't ask me how I feel about Liverpool. My 10-year-old grandson feels the same.

It’s doing my nut in how much of the conversation around United is putting the blame on Ten Hag for everything. Even today, after beating Liverpool, after that massive win… “Gareth Southgate for United Manager” is everywhere, the Overlap, Sky Sports, fan channels. So many bad faith takes that get signal boosted and inform fan opinion. And these clowns are just more of that. They want United in crisis, they want United spinning their tires. People don’t care if United are just okay, the clicks stop, the money stops. They have to sell United as either crisis central or the best thing ever, or they’ve got nothing. We need to back our manager. He’s done a good job shepherding us through a terrible season, where he’s had constant issues with fitness, issues with signings, issues with fixtures, mass changes behind the scenes. You’re not replacing him with anyone better, you’re just replacing him with someone different, and sometimes it’s better the devil you know.

Coming from an American Manchester United fan, I can’t agree with you more. Burley and Nicol long standing hatred and jealousy of Manchester United’s history and fandom turns my stomach. I truly appreciate your content and those of Stretford paddock and fan channels like these. You guys help us appreciate the beautiful game for what it truly is. I know we are going on a tough patch, but I have faith and confidence that we are being steered on the right path. BTW… that win vs Liverpool was glorious!

They really need to do a clean out of the entire cast of characters on that channel and start over with hosts that can actually analyse matches.

I am a lifelong man united fan from the US and I am happy someone pointed this out, i've been saying this for years. I just can't watch ESPNFC and unfortunately the Cup matches are on ESPN where these guys will sometimes commentate.... I just watch with the tv muted. They never have anything meaningful to say they just complain about anything and everything. Its quite sad because almost all of the US coverage of the prem is an anti-united campaign.

Thank you so much for covering this. I’ve been pointing this out for years. ESPNFC coverage of the premier league is absolutely terrible in general. Even though Carragher is biased, at least he brings a certain level of analysis of the game that is insightful at times. In fairness, Burley praised United during his commentary. Nicol was just salty.

Ten hag’s record with united is phenomenal 102 games 62 wins 12 draws 28 losses G 173 GA 125 FA CUP runner up (lost to city) Carabao cup winner (beat Newcastle) Finished 3rd in Prem 2023 This season on course for another FA CUP final and still a possibility for top 4 He literally is doing good work let him work! American here: Thank you SO much for calling out this nonsense Ste. I used to watch these guys in high school; I stopped for the sake of my mental health. Hearing many of the hosts go out of their way to dig at United while maintaining double standards is enough to drive a sane person berserk. I promised myself one thing: when (not if) the sun shines on our club again, I'll tune into ESPN FC every week to watch the likes of Nicol and Burley struggle because they have to say nice things about Man United. I imagine they'll have nosebleeds each episode

Thank you for covering this. I loathe any time I have to watch United on an ESPN platform here in the states. There is fair criticism on NBC (Premier League) or Paramount (European football) when the team plays poorly, but also praise when the team performs or takes a big step forward. That doesn’t happen on ESPN as far back as I can remember.

Same here. ESPN FC was good at one point. Now it’s atrocious. On top of that regular ESPN has become so openly liberal and regardless of what my views are, I don’t want f*cking politics in my football or sports in general.

Thank your for this. Anytime I have to watch a game on ESPN, I mute the half time “analysis” Fortunately ESPN only show FA cup games here in the US and regular premier league are on NBSC, which has a much better commentary team and analysis

Steve, you’re very right about this hateful pair of Nicole and Burley. Last season when Ten Hag talked about fatigue effects on Man United players, this pair said that’s not a reasonable excuse. But how is that now a reasonable excuse for Liverpool? Funny to think that Nicole doesn’t remember that this isn’t the first time that Man United is dumping Liverpool out of the FA cup. And as for Gabby, he seems to forget that he and Ashley Young played together at Aston Villa. We know Ashley won lots of trophies, while he, Gabby won zero trophy. He was a striker all his life that never finished among the first six highest goal scorers in his entire life. I guess he needs a reminder.

I live in America, and this is pretty representative of most of the sports coverage at ESPN. The so call experts almost always have some sort of bias which causes controversial "hot takes" I barely trust them to show me scores, let alone analysis...

Glad to see this gather attention. As a US based Man U fan, I have to hear these guys talk constantly for any cup competitions. It’s gotten to the point it’s so frustratingly bias that I mute the TV during pre game and halftime just to try and enjoy the game. Really need to bring some other personalities in if they want to try and appear to have any sort of professionalism.

Now this has been my problem, the whole time I haven’t had the chance to actually mention it more than two times or three times but commentary is number one on my list of complaints. It is the same as what you explaining there now 100% should be unbiased, and what you’re telling us now is again what I’m hearing and it is disgusting it’s supposed to be non-biased you can’t watch a game and hear them talking about all the stuff that isn’t pertaining to that football match. It isn’t right. Thanks for calling it out and second thing is the referee the game is all about them, that’s how I see the games the last few months.. Also, the game isn’t the game like it used to be of late for the last 8, 9 months the game is about them to why they make such shocking decisions….Thanks Stephen Hawson👍🏼
