打鐵加硼砂是因為能幫助鍛造者去除金屬表面的雜質。硼砂是熔劑，就是火法冶金中能與礦石中所含的脈石氧化物、有害雜質氧化物作用，形成低熔點渣層，從而把要提取的金屬分離開來。在高溫環境中，硼砂熔體中含有酸性氧化物三氧化二硼，能溶解金屬氧化物，便於人們淨化金屬表面。

Oh... indah sekali... Terimakasih kamu telah melestarikan karambit dengan membuatnya seindah mungkin. Tapi sejatinya karambit hanyalah alat pemanen umbi-umbian. Karambit (kurambik) berasal dari tanah kelahiranku sendiri.. minang kabau sumatera barat. Tapi kamu salah satu dari semua yang telah menunjukan keindahan kurambik ini..

That is absolutely gorgeous!!! I have always preferred knives over guns, knives don't jam or run out of ammo. That would be a knife I would be proud to own. You are very much a master blacksmith; I look forward to seeing more from you.
